This complete recording bundle from Presonus packages together everything you need for recording and producing. At the heart of this bundle is the ultra-portable 2-channel AudioBox USB audio interface with Class A mic preamplifiers and professional-quality, 24-bit converters that sample at up to 48 kHz. Along with the AudioBox you also get a copy of Studio One 2 recording software, the soul of the AudioBox Studio that is easy to use and very capable of producing studio-quality results. You also get the M7 high-definition condenser microphone for capturing your source, and a pair of HD7 professional monitoring headphones for both tracking and mixing anytime, anywhere. This bundle provides all the tools you need for multi-track song production, demos and musical inspirations, live performances, podcasts, field recording and more.

AudioBox is the heart of the AudioBox Studio
Perfect for musicians and podcasters, the 2-channel AudioBox USB boasts high-performance microphone preamplifiers and professional-quality, 24-bit converters. Powered by your computer, it's compact, ruggedly built… and designed to work perfectly with Studio One recording and production software on your PC or Mac.

Capture your ideas wherever you are with the PreSonus AudioBox USB 2x2 USB recording system. The AudioBox USB is a USB bus-powered audio recording interface featuring two microphone/instrument inputs with 48V phantom power, two balanced TRS outputs, and MIDI in/out. The AudioBox USB is bundled with the PreSonus Studio One Artist music creation program, and over 4GB of virtual instruments, plug-ins, loops, and samples to get you started making music immediately.

      Highly Respected Preamplifiers
PreSonus Audio has won numerous awards for designing high quality microphone preamplifiers at all price levels. The AudioBox USB is loaded with two high-quality preamplifiers that deliver high headroom, low noise and high gain giving you pure, full and rich sound.

      Professional 24-bit converters
Most USB recording devices operate at 16-bit sample rate and use converters with dynamic range of less than 90dB. This translates into a pinched and relatively small sound. The AudioBox USB uses professional-grade analog to digital converters with dynamic range of 102dB and 24-bit sample rate so that the digital conversion is big, quiet and musical.

      USB bus-powered
The AudioBox USB is USB bus-powered allowing you to take it anywhere inspiration hits. No wall warts, line lumps or power cables, just plug in to a powered USB port and you are ready to record.

      Ready to hit the road
There’s no plastic here. The AudioBox USB is housed in an all-metal chassis with metal knobs ready to withstand the rigors of travel. Toss it in your laptop bag and mobilize your music creation and production. Whether you want to record your shows, mix on the plane or write songs in your hotel room, the AudioBox is ready.

      M7 High-Definition Condenser Microphone
Condenser mics are the overwhelming choice of recording studio professionals, due to the very small mass that must be moved by the in-coming sound wave. This means you can capture musical details, harmonics, and subtle nuances that would get lost with dynamic mics. From vocals to acoustic guitar recordings, you’ll hear the difference.

Large diaphragm microphones like the M7 tend to “warm up” a sound and are a great choice for recording vocals and for recording instruments when you want a “deep” sound.

      HD7 Professional Monitoring Headphones
Whether you’re monitoring, tracking or mixing, you can expect impressive sonic performance from your HD7 headphones. PreSonus’ high-definition HD7 headphones take advantage of a patented, semi-open sound chamber to deliver exceptionally deep low frequencies with a balanced and yet powerful bass punch.

Overall I am very satisfied with Presonus and their equipment. I will definately be upgrading to an 8+ channel interface sometime in the future for good drum recording as well as their software for all of the features included. If you have doubts look no further. This is a great setup for anyone to have even if you are a pro musician, it is very beneficial for many purposes. Cheers!
This little interface does all it says it can do. I purchased this interface for the sole purpose of recording my tracks and demos so I could hand them out to others. The interface does a really good job with very little issues. I was, and still am not an expert at recording and this interface, I feel was a great start. I am understanding the colors of recording and it is a really good feeling once you get to familiar with it. The two XLR inputs/Line in and the Midi inputs allow one artist to be able to record virtually anything (with the exception of druming - which is still possible). As I said before the ease of this interface + software is a great feature itself. The condensor included was surprisingly good considering it was included in the package. I have used an SM-57 and the condensor included and have been recording tracks with both since.
The interface is built like a truck, I have taken it to practices and have put it through some stress and it still works just as it did the first day it was opened. The quality of the headset/condensor included is above average and help produce great tracks for any hobbyist/recording artist.
I am really grateful for what the interface has done for me. I have pushed my band to the next level with it and I think that anyone can be able to afford the interface. I think it is priced very fairly considering you get the software, interface with mic cable and the condensor and headset. (Wished they would have thrown in some studio monitors)

All of the information for this product from the PreSonus website itself say that it's compatible with Windows 8 64-bit and USB 3.0, however when you connect the device to the computer it's an unrecognizable device and therefore, the way they have their software designed, you CANNOT install even manually.
You have no access to the drivers without the device being connected and recognized which apparently, despite all other indications, is not windows 8.
I scoured their forums and the web for answers and dozens upon dozens of people have had this problem but NONE of the questions anywhere have an answer where it wasn't just a faulty cable.
I finally reached out to Presonus techsupport via email. Their tech support misinformed me, gave me instructions for Windows 7 when I clearly told them I use Win8, and asked me to disable my USB3.0 functionality despite their site stating that it's supported.
I finally called their tech support and was on hold for 30+ minutes and when I finally spoke to someone, they hung up on me.
I then contacted MusiciansFriend who, as always, are awesome and helped me exchange this abomination for something that hopefully I'll have better luck with.
Don't waste your money on this if you have Windows 8.

This is my second Presonus interface. I use to have the firebox. This package is a great deal. The mic is ok and the headphones sound pretty good. The interface itself is solid and I like the studio one software. I haven't seen a recording package with a better value for this price.

This is a great startup home studio setup. I bought this setup to record an audio book and I'm very pleased with the sound. It's clear and crisps with well banked lows, highs, and mids. Only need to send the book off for final mastering get give the final, professional touch. Plus, now I have a home studio! How cool is that?!

At first I had distortion in the audio with my new iMac OS 10.9.1. (fusion drive) After several days of puzzling the problem I upgraded to OS 10.9.2 and problem was solved. Would be nice if that was posted on Presonus' site. However, I am up and running and happy with results. I do sell music to film and tv. I like a simple system that is also effective. I am giving it a four star rating for the moment until I've recorded more with it. Got to say I think it will do the job I need it for.

For those of you that are complaining about the mic mounting, have no fear. Take a screwdriver and remove the little insert, and it will fit on ANY mic stand.
Just a bit of common sense will suffice, its not rocket science.
I've started using this little nugget for recording and it is great.

This is a really cool gadget, once you figure out the software. Its going to take some time to really get the hang of things, but its not hard to figure out. I also have a bunch of tutorial videos that help a lot.
The headphones are light weight, comfortable and sound very good. The mic seems to be good quality. and this thing is solid as a tank...

I must say that I am quite impressed with this little nugget. I have been shopping around for awhile and although there are better interfaces and recording programs on the market, this is nothing to sneeze at. Dont let the price tag fool you. The interface is built like Fort Knox and the program is not only user friendly but it comes with all kinds of virtual instruments and pre loads for all of us midi nuts. Recording my acoustic guitar, and electric guitar, Roland drums and vocals are a breeze and can make even the worst singer sound half decent. all in all i give it a 8 out of ten simply because nothing is perfect.

Comments about PreSonus AudioBox Studio Recording Bundle:
