The P92 is an H4A pickup in a P-90 style housing. It uses an Alnico 5 magnet for a pronounced mid-range and fat top end. With plenty of punchy tone, it's perfect in the bridge position for the player who wants to rock and is perfect in combination with a P-91 pickup in the neck position. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for minimum noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise.

Comments about EMG P92 HZ Vintage Passive Humbucker Pickup:
Alright pickup, but going with DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan on the P-90 replacment.
I saw no review so I guess these might be helpful!
From my experience with EMG passive pickups and other opinions on fuctionality as a humbucker P-90 housed pickup, the verdict is in and it seems that EMG might not be what your looking for if you want a passive pup.
I have played through numerous stock EMG passive humbuckers in guitars they all seem to be slacking on what EMG seems to be going for which is clean and defined notes at either end of the spectrum taking in consideration for their fine work with ACTIVE pups.
Having said that, I have a one year old Les Paul special I decided to play around with.
I switched the stock bridge with this pup and although there is a serious tonal change, the top end gets muddy, the mids just seem to blend in and are very subtle.
In my opinion the EMGs might make a good stock pup, but I would want to replace this, it reminds me of Epiphone stock p-90s and its just not what most look for in p-90 replacements.
