A mixing desk is a crucial element in the recording and live sound world. They give you the ability to adjust the volume, tome, stereo position and add effects to the music, combining all the tracks into a coherent whole. The size and type of mixer of course depends on a number of different factors. How many inputs do you need? We have mixers with up to 40 channels. Do you need simple EQ which allows you to add and subtract treble and bass from each track or something a little more sophisticated? Consider whether you need onboard effects or the inputs for an external effects processor. As a rule of thumb, an unpowered mixer is typically used in the recording studio, where there isn't the need to power a full PA. This doesn't mean that the Mixer cannot provide phantom power for microphones however. At Musician's friend, we have unpowered mixers from all of the top brands, including Allen & Heath Unpowered Mixers and Mackie Unpowered Mixers. All our unpowered mixers are supported by our price & satisfaction guarantees and free standard shipping applies to all orders except heavy items.
