Comments about Alfred Strictly Strings Violin Book 1:
I think they left out a few important things to know before you start to play. How to apply rosin to the bow, How much bow tension should be applied, and nice little things like that which may be neat to know before starting to play. I don't know, maybe this is a good book. I mean I jumped right into the mandolin after playing a guitar for 42 years, and am loving every minute of it (by the way, for absolte beginners a violin & mando are tuned exactly the same). This book seems to be just leaving out of inportant things I need to know. Maybe I should have gotten "Violin For Dummies" instead.
