Stellar sound with no hands required!

The Shure Model WH30XLR is a light yet rugged headset microphone. Designed for vocalists and instrument-playing vocalists, the WH30 utilizes a high quality electret-condenser cartridge suitable for all applications where mobility, comfort, low microphone-visibility, and high sound quality are required. Because of its cardioid (unidirectional) pickup pattern, the WH30 provides isolation from extraneous sound sources and high gain-before-feedback.

The wireframe and gooseneck adjust to any head size and shape. An integrated elastic headband comfortably pads and secures the headset. The WH30 is supplied with two snap-on windscreens, clothing clip, storage bag and cable-management device.

The WH30 is a perfect fit for those who desire total freedom of movement and need the high-quality audio of a condenser microphone.

For wired applications, the WH30XLR is supplied with a 1.5m (5 ft.) hi-flex cable and high quality mic preamplifier (RPM420) with a three pin XLR connector. The RPM420 preamplifier requires phantom power from any 11 - 52 V source.

Features
  • Tailored frequency response enhances vocal range
  • Flexible gooseneck for optimum microphone placement
  • Isolation shock mount reduces vibration noise
  • Low-profile, lightweight design
  • Cardioid polar pattern provides maximum gain before feedback
  • High sound pressure level capability
  • Secure snap-on windscreen reduces "p" pops

Enjoy freedom of movement and hi-fi sound. Order today!

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

This is my second headset mic. I'm a drummer singing harmonies and some lead. I went with this mic for the price and the name. It has a clear sound. Wearing it takes a little getting used to. It is on the heavy side and the way the supports wrap around your ears is a little different and takes getting used to. It does not have a mute or an on/off switch! I went on ebay and found an XLR MxF with an on/off switch that I hope will work.

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

I have had 3 headset mics in the past and this is my 4th. I have had a Shure SM-12A, a Shure SM-10 and a TOA HY-01. The SM-10 was junk, the other two I just plain wore them out. I tried to find another TOA headset but they don't make them any more so I thought I'd go back to Shure. BIG mistake!! The WH30 is the most uncomfortable headset I have ever worn, so much so that it gave me a headache. I tried adjusting it but it was too loose, then I tried to tighten it back up a little and it was again too tight, there's no middle ground. The mic doesn't come around in front of your mouth, just to the corner. If you're looking for a headset mic, DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING SHURE WH30.

      Shure headset

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

I think over all this microphone is solid well worth the money
I think the features are ok. In my opinion the connecting cord needs to be of better quality a little bit to fragile.
great quality has plenty of highs and lows. i am a drummer that sings quiter of bit. I also think that the case it comes with needs to be bigger just barely get microphone inside.

Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp

      By Bob Flores

      from Bakersfield, CA

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

Great investment. I play drums and sing back-up vocals. No more boom to fool with or be in the way. I was apprehensive about purchasing this product But, I'm glad I did. In fact I bought a second one that was Condition 1 for practice. The both work great.

Review of WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector

      By Friendly Folk

      from Massachussets

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

I had problems with my old mics during a gig or recording sessions, as I often had to look at my guitar neck and turning my head just a little affected the vocal volume. With the condenser headset mic, I can now turn my head as much as I want and the mic stays the same distance from my mouth. This particular modle needs "fantom power" on the mixer to power its pre-amp. The sound quality of the mic is great and even better than the quality of the mics I have been using. It even has a little windscreen.

      Shure Stinks

      By Donna Smolak

      from River Grove, Il

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

good sound just too bad it cant be a good fit. i have asked to meet with Shure to get an adjustment on it or get a recommedation on a different model, and they are not interested. not good referral or word of mouth and we have big ones
this is the most uncomfortable headset, if you are female, and Shure will do NOTHING to help out and assist. So SORRY i bought it, but i have been a Shure girl for years.
good quality but NO fit. too large

      Good drummer's mic...Be patient...

      By DoublePunch

      from Richardson (Dallas), TX

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

At first I was getting way too much bleed from my drums and cymbals, and ruining my sound. I hit pretty hard... This is a condenser mic so it's "powered" or "hot." I had to turn the gain WAY down on the board, and turn the monitoring volume WAY up to get the levels right. Once I did this, the mic worked perfectly. It isolates very well and now only picks up what comes out of my mouth. Keep it off the floor or it will inevitably get stepped on. Well built and engineered - but far from crush-proof. Get a small metal box or plastic blow-mold case for it. Expected SHURE quality and value. Recommend for singing drummers.

      Nice, clear hardwired headset

      By Bai Long (White Dragon)

      from Hartford, Connecticut

Comments about Shure WH30XLR Condenser Headset Microphone with XLR Connector and Preamp:

Overall this is a sweet affordable headset. It has nice response with no feedback--yes, no feedback, despite the fact that it is a condenser mic. Also, it has a standard XLR output--very nice. Just plug this baby into a soundboard with phantom power and you are good to go. The only things that it misses are an on/off switch (it is nice to be able to mute the mic that you are wearing)and a better case. The product comes with a zipper pouch, but the pouch really is a bit too small. Buy the mic but also find a solid metal box or container to keep it in. It is a joy to use, sounds great, and you won't want anything to happen to it.
