The Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Bb clarinet is designed for the advancing clarinetist. The sound, response, intonation, and aesthetics of this instrument all far exceed the standards for intermediate clarinets. Players will have no problems using this clarinet in middle school, high school, and even into college. Doublers will not find a better value for their money anywhere else.

shipping time was perfect- it arrived just when planned, right in the middle of my daughter's birthday party! she was so excited and surprised! She put it together and started playing it immediately.It sounded great and all her friends in band thought so too. Her band teacher thought it was good for the money. However, only about 5-6 weeks later, it wouldn't play. It will cost a significant amount to have it worked on. The shop says it is due to the factory not having done something correctly. We would return it but she needs it for band and she really loves it so much more than the one she had. It is a good deal even paying for repairs/adjustments.

I think it should be necessary to give the customer instruction on how to set their own combination on the lock that came on the case. I didn't have any instructions on it and am afraid to set it for fear of locking myself out of the case. Also provide information on the best way to break a grenadilla wood clarinet in. I googled it and apparently there's a way to do it right. And the thumb holder was so tight I had to take a wrench to it to unscrew in order to set it in the position of my choosing. Perhaps include a mini wrench or instructions on what kind of wrench to use. These are just my suggestions. I am so blessed to have this clarinet. I love it so much.
I have been playing my little beginner plastic clarinet for years because my parents could never afford anything other than that. I have since played enough to become an intermediate player by far but just never was able to get another clarinet. Until now. I did research before I settled. I will say that it is well advised to go play a clarinet before purchasing. I was unhappy with what my local music stores offered because I couldn't find one that had a large selection and the ones they had on hand to try either didn't have good reviews or didn't interest me. As a result, I was not given the opportunity to try this one first. I believe in reviews but I also want you to take this one for what it's worth. Considering that I have been desiring one for a long time, almost any wood intermediate/professional clarinet would have done, but this one not only had good reviews but is also a trusted brand. Follow the research available online. Go to a local store if you have the chance and really try one before settling. Of course, I doubt even so that you would be disappointed with this one. I love the deep wood notes this produces. I can certainly tell the difference in quality with this one versus my old beginner plastic one. This is truly a woodwind. If I could marry it, I would!
Don't be decieved by the picture. The cases are awesome, although mine didn't come with the fancy flower design on the outside case, it came just plain black. No worries, still awesome case.
I searched other sites for this brand and this specific model and they offer it here with the best price.
