The Charlie Parker Legends Series Mouthpiece is an exact reproduction of Bird's legendary white mouthpiece. Charlie "Bird" Parker was an amazing saxophonist who gained wide recognition for playing a leading role in the development of bebop, a form of jazz characterized by fast tempos, virtuoso technique, and improvisation based on harmonic structure. Parker's innovative approaches to melody, rhythm, and harmony exercised enormous influence on his contemporaries.
The Charlie Parker Legends Series Mouthpiece is the first alto saxophone mouthpiece added to the series. Legend Series Mouthpieces are handmade in the USA by Drake and combine state of the art technology with hand finishing tradition to create a precision reproduction of Bird's original mouthpiece. Drake mouthpieces are revered for their accurate, immediate response and their incredible intonation stability and projection qualities.
Available tip openings include Birds original 4 (.62), 5 (.72) and 6 (.82).
