The outer diameter of the DIN plug is slightly too large to fit into Musician's Gear Lo-Z Microphone Cable 50 Foot -- unless you want to use a hammer.

Originally I was going to purchase a cable to do the same thing this converter does for 1/3 of the price. If you already have a good XLR around, this is the way to go.

Good product, quick shipping. I'm all smiles.
It work great. I bought this to enable me to plug a mic cable into my guitar amp to play my harmonicas through my amp. I use a Pignose G60VR with a Shure SM-57 mic with Lee Oscar harmonicas. Great combination!
No noise or loss of mic signal strength.
Fairly priced and built to last.

This adapter is perfect for feeding a small amp or monitor speaker from a mixer with XLR outputs--which is the intended use for this device.

There is a legitimate use for this product. It is *not* to simply plug a mic-level signal into a line-level input. Duh. It is for connecting an XLR mic preamp *output* to an unbalanced line-level TS input. (If your XLR cables are wired 3-pin hot, get different equipment. That configuration is illegitimate).I plug a balanced Rane MS1S preamp output on XLR cable through this adapter into my unbalanced TS mixer inputs and it works like a charm.

Look - you can't just hook a low impedance mic to a high impedance amp - you lose a lot of the mic's output. It will also render the volume control on an Audix Fireball or blowsmeaway.com volume control useless. And High-Z XLR cables are wired 2 different ways - either "pin 2 hot" or "pin 3 hot". How is this thing wired? No info! There MAY be a legitimate use for this product but know what you're doing when you buy it!
