Provides easy-to-read tuning with a display made to be visible in dark or bright conditions.

One of the world's top-selling stage tuners, the BOSS TU-2, has evolved and improved into the TU-3 pedal tuner. Housed in a tank-tough BOSS stompbox body, the TU-3 chromatic tuner features a smooth 21-segment LED meter with a High-Brightness mode that cuts through the harshest outdoor glare. Choose between Chromatic or Guitar/Bass tuning modes. Accu-Pitch Sign gives you pinpoint visual verification that tuning is complete. The BOSS TU-3 tuner incorporates a convenient Note Name Indicator that can display notes of 7-string guitars and 6-string basses, while the Flat-Tuning mode can support up to 6 half-steps. It's the kind of instrument pedal tuner that no performing guitarist or bass player should be without.

Features

  • 21-segment LED meter with brightness control
  • High-Brightness mode enhances meter visibility outdoors
  • Accu-Pitch Sign function provides visual verification when tuning is complete
  • Chromatic and Guitar/Bass mode (tune by string number, with support for 7-string guitars and 6-string basses)

Tuning like a BOSS

| Review By: Pedalbored | 2 months, 4 weeks ago

Features:

Great pedal very solid design.

Quality:

Awesome tuner.  Great for everything from 7 string guitars to 6 string basses.  Extremely accurate and precise.  Has several modes for tuning such as the standard mode where the LED moves till its centered, constantly moving lights to either the sharp or flat side and slowing down as you get closer to the note, and another i've yet to check out.  The LED are uber bright.  The TU-2 came out in the 80's and was solid until this baby came out.  This pedal should be around for 30 years like its previous model.  Boss quality stompbox as usual.  Full metal stomp box.  Just all around perfect.

Value:

It might be a little pricey but well worth it.  Compaired to others around this same price its definately the best.  Throw out the extra cash for this pedal if you can afford to.

Overall:

Tuning like a BOSS!

Great Tuner Pedal

This is a great tuner pedal. I use it both with my electric and my acoustic and it offers percise tuning in a small amount of time. It's great because it has both a output which if you run it this way it will cut your single off when ever you need to tune or it has a bypass output which will tune your guitar without cuting you guitar signal which is great to run with a volume pedal so you won't have to keep turning you pedal on and off when you play live or something. It's a great pedal and is well worth the money and would be a great buy for anyone.

Features:

It has a needle that points to the center when you are right on the desired note.  Just in case that wasn't enough - it also has a light that lights up.  They thought of everything!

Quality:

Unless I'm tone deaf, it seems to put you in tune.

Value:

I like that it's not made out of plastic.

Overall:

It does what it's supposed to.

Features:

Bought this tuner because I wanted to try a Boss chromatic tuner, I have previously used Digitech

tuners.  Found this one to function good, but if I had to rate I'd probably go with Digitech tuner again.

Quality:

Good quality, excellent stomp box.

Value:

Some of the other chromatic tuners offer a better value for the money.  But not by much.

Overall:

Function's good and over quality is very good.

It works

Features:
Quality:

Well built, solid tuning pedal, but my ears are more sensitive than the tuner.  It'll get you very close, then do relative pitch tuning to fine tune things.

Value:

It's pretty pricey.

Overall:

It works.  I opened it up to put a 9V battery in... and couldn't figure out how to do it, despite mostly taking it apart.  I guess you can't have battery power?
