I bought 6 6-packs of these, of the 1.00mm thickness, and they were all alike and all flawless. I'd seen some of the less positive reviews, and these do not match my experience. I've now been using the same 3 picks for over a year, about an hour a day per pick. None of the cork has deteriorated at all that I can see. Even when soaking wet, they do not slip (or degrade). At this rate, what I bought will last my whole life.I only wish that they had triangular picks with cork circles.

I would recommend to avoid this pick if the resaon you want it is to avoid slipping. The thickness with the cork glued on makes the pick far too thick. The sponginess of the cork actually makes the pick looser in your grip and requires you to squeeze the pick harder. While the pick comes in standard gauge sizes and stiffness the stiffness is too greatly impacted by the cork.
I would certainly recommend some other picks with materials designed to be slip resistant or the sand style picks that are rougher to improve your grip.
You may find the pick more useful if your reasoning is because you have hand or thumb problems and you need the cork to absorb shock. My opinion is if you have that problem the pick will still be loose and you'll find yourself gripping harder causing more problems.
The cork on the pick is supposed to help with your grip however it's spring as a material makes it too loose and in many cases hurts your accuracy.
Basically its cork glued onto a pick.
Not worth it, better to get a pick out of the non slick materials that are available

Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
Everyone seems to be mentioning breaking picks,I hesitate to tell you that any pick made WILL NOT make you a picker.Learn to play and let your guitar and amp set up do their job.You don't need a 2x4 to play. That being said, the pick just doesn't seem to be of even medium quality, and the cork seems quiet thick and I prefer just using good quality pick and Gorilla Snot when things start getting slippery.
Cork is a bit thick.
Nothing like the old Fender with cork.
quiet expensive.
Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
I bought a pack because I'm still trying to find the best pick out there. I have a nice grip on it, and it's easy to play with. Though, you could go out and buy some corks and glue it on to yours picks. Just saying.

Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
If your grip gets sweaty due to the hotties watching you do your thing, or if the pressure is just too great for the standard pick, then what you need is this cork cushioned pick. I've been using these things since time began. If the pick splits, then buy a thicker size or learn how to play without destroying your equipment.
Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
Well if its been around for a quarter century why not put it to rest? Ok the ideas sound but its a real flimsy pick over all not worth added price for the top of picks slicker than heck and the pick being average in quality wears out super quick when played hard. Basically great for those who simply cannot live without celluloid and breaking picks every 8th bar......
Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
A little pricey for a 6-pack. I like thin picks, but never really have problems with them breaking... this one broke in under a minute the first time I used it on the electric. The problem isn't the thin pick, it's the incredibly thick piece of cork. The cork is decent for grip (not really much better than a gator grip dunlop or the ice picks I have that stick to the guitar) but it is way bigger than pictured and the thickness makes it impossible not to break it if you jam relatively hard.

Have to be my favorite pick... very hard to break .80mm (I have only used the 80) super grip sound great somewhat stylish. I will always used Clayton corks. I only wish I could find them in cases.
Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
The picture make this look like the cork is embedded in the acetate and there might be a knob or something in the center of the cork ring. It's just a standard acetate pick with a cork ring glued to it. Whatever process they used to apply the glue never seemed to place it or the cork rings correctly. It was off by as much as 1/4 of an inch! Out of a package of 6, only 2 were usable. 2 had cork rings that had fallen off. The others 2 were so badly alligned that I just pulled the cork off the glue and used them as regular picks. I bought these to give as a gift to someone, but I'll just throw them in a drawer to use when practicing.
Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:
I was looking around and I saw these picks so I ordered them. When I started to play them the cork grip starts to fall apart. There is nothing special about these picks.
