Excellent overall quality and value.
Clayton - Horn Exotic Picks - I was introduced to a natural pick (made of cow's hoof). I loved the feel and the ability to shape my attack due to the composition of the pick (very hard and smooth). I decided to try this pick and now, I don't want to use anything else. Note that the pick has virtually no flex whatsoever. If you need that in your picks you would probably not prefer this product. I play classic rock and contemporary Christian with a Les Paul, Strat, Jackson SL1, Dean Cadillac (all through high gain Marshalls). You can get pinch harmonics all day long with this pick.

For clean tones, it can produce a somewhat glassy / harsh tone if you're not careful (due to the hardness of the pick). Also, be aware that the pick is quite a bit thicker/heavier that you are probably used to.

However, the quality is excellent and this pick does not chip (in my experience) not matter how hard you play. You will probably be able to use these picks for as long as you don't lose them. They just don't appear to wear much at all (and I play a lot).
Amazing surface with a finely milled indention to prevent slippage.
In my opinion, a bargain for a natural pick.

I bought these as an experiment not really caring if it was wasted money. I normally use Dunlop 1.14 Tortex which are pretty heavy but still feeling I can dig in with them as they sound really soft. The Horn picks are hard and while I had to alter my dynamics I think that after awhile I could make them sound as aggressive. Pretty good sound on acoustics. I didn't try them on electric although I think they would be better.

Comments about Clayton Horn Exotic Picks 3-Pack:

This pick feels bright in its attack. Chords come alive and resonate brightly. There is a grip indention that may be ideal for some but not for me. This was no problem as the pick was still easily gripable and easy to control. Not a pick I would use every day but that doesnt take away from the fact that its a great pick for some stuff.

Comments about Clayton Horn Exotic Picks 3-Pack:

These are great picks for me as I have large hands so I find that these picks are easy to grip and very comfortable to use. My main guitar is a Martin HD-28(sitka spruce top with indian rosewood back and sides)which is tonally dark with a powerful bass response so these picks work well with this guitar in that the tone sounds just a little brighter and with a bit more clarity in the bass response. These picks also sound good with my other acoustics as well, I do not find that these picks produce overly bright or harsh tones. Overall I am very happy with the quality and playability of these picks, the thickness, thumb dimple and taper are a perfect fit to my hand but with that said these same characteristics would probably make these picks unsuitable for smaller hands and those seeking a smaller pick with some flex. These picks are large, relatively thick and have no flex.

Comments about Clayton Horn Exotic Picks 3-Pack:

They're way to big and cumbersome. It's a good idea. I like how pointy they are but I would need fingers the size of a cucumber to be able to use these guys.
Dunlop Ultex Sharp Picks - 6 Pack 1.4 mm is the real deal for me.

Comments about Clayton Horn Exotic Picks 3-Pack:

These picks are not as good as picks produced with man made materials. They are fun to show people but I prefer the regular off the shelve picks made of polymers and have controlled thicknesses. Very good conversation items.

Comments about Clayton Horn Exotic Picks 3-Pack:

These picks have a pretty nice bright tone. They are pretty thick the way they come, about 2.5mm, and they are larger than a normal pick making them a little bulky to use. Fortunately they are pretty easy to cut if you have some basic tools like a file and sand papers. I cut mine down to 1.2mm thick and a normal pick size and it feels great. They slide off the strings really really nice. Makes doing super fast 32nd and 64th picking a breeze. Definitely brighter than toltex or plastic, not QUITE as bright as I was hoping but I like an extremely bright pick.
