I have tried many picks, and these are my favorite for an electric guitar. I prefer the better grip and larger size of these than the Dunlop Ultex picks. I wish they also came in a 64mm thickness!!!

If you've got great dexterity and fine motor control...the kind where you can feel your shoulder muscle working hard too...then you can get an amazing sound with these picks...esp on acoustic...where I recommend the .56's...for picking and esp. strumming...these are my favs.

I first got this pick when I bought a variety pack of Clayton picks. At the time I just started playing guitar and wanted to experiment with different types of pick shapes, sizes, as well as thickness. When I first started playing I liked soft picks, but as I played more I need something with a little less flex. The Spike guitar pick is perfect. Perfect size, shape and flex. I personally don?t play fast; I am a more classic rock/jam band style player. But it if you do play fast or need to strum a string fast this pick is awesome it doesn?t get caught up at all, just glides over the strings. The quality is great to, I play with Steel strings and it doesn?t and hasn?t shown any wear. If you?re a beginner like I was, you should try a variety pack of your choice to get a sense of what kind of pick works best for you, and if you?re a player where picks aren?t that big of a deal, where you can pretty much play with any pick try the spike out, I swear by them. And if you don?t want to buy a dozen of the spikes in fear that you might dislike them, try the Clayton variety pack, they have great picks of all sizes shapes and thickness, who knows you might fine the perfect pick your looking for.
