These 80/20's are wonderful strings. Good balance throughout the tone spectrum. My Huss and Dalton CM responds very well indeed! And you cannot get a better price than the six pack purchase. Once again MF customer service is truly second to none, a wonderful breath of fresh air in a world of empty promise advertising.

Comments about D'Addario EJ11 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I just bought an epiphone hummingbird, my first acoustic, the previous owner said he had just put on EB earth wood lights , I guess they were .11 or .12 high E string. They sounded very good ,strings or guitar not sure but I broke the high E while cleaning and dressing the frets. I replaced it with a string I had laying around with a little corrosion on it. So I entered in to the world of acoustic strings. I have been using D'Addario strings on my electrics for many years, they hold up nicely. So I thought I would try their acoustic strings. I bought the E11 , E14, and E 16 , at first I was not so sure if they sounded as good as the earth woods. But after a week or so of playing the E11's they seem lively with a very nice full sound. Although it seems the high E is a little less prominent. Once again this is my first acoustic and the strings are heavier then I am use to. I may not be putting enough pressure on the High E to get a clear bright tone. The more I play the better the strings seem ,, or maybe I'm just getting use to the heavier strings. I would say that they perform as advertised. I will try the E14's next. Gonna wear these out first.

I play a smallish Martin 000-16 and a biggish Lowden F25c. Use these strings on both. No "coated" (muffled) strings for me. These guys let the sound of these two beautiful gits shine.

Comments about D'Addario EJ11 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are great for anyone who has a darker sounding guitar if you want to coax a little more chime out of your acoustic, espicially for flat-picking and strumming. I find I am able to do bends with them easier than other brands of the same composition. D'Addarios are known to be brighter strings from the get-go and 80-20's especially.

I like these better than the phosphor browse strings. They seem easier on my fingers and easier to bend. Will be purchasing them again.
