Comments about D'Addario EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Strings Single-Pack:

Switched from Elixir 12-53 gauge strings to EJ15's because this gauge closely matches my NYXL electric guitar strings.

Doing this matches the touch I want to keep constant for playing any of my guitars, meaning I don't have to squeeze the heck out of my acoustic guitar any longer to get a clear tone.

I was concerned about the loss of sound, using lighter gauge strings and was amazed that these strings give me more sound output than I expected and without digging into the strings at all. Also, there is absolutely no fret buzz, as I have a fairly fast action set on my acoustic guitar.

An added plus is that the 3rd string is also "wound'. There is no info on the site indicating this.

I was going to try the EJ10's but saw too many reviews stating that the coating wares off at the picking area and that the strings discolor there. I may try EJ10's sometime in the future just to get first-hand experience with them.

    I'm a total D'Addario string user now.

Comments about D'Addario EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Strings Single-Pack:

For me, these seem to be the best string for an acoustical electric guitar. I have tried others, but they don't seem to match up.

I should have known better. I told myself never buy these again. Well this time I'm going to listen. The sound was good for about as long as it took to write this note. It kind of goes like this.... bright, bright, bright, dull, dull dead!

          Okay strings for me

Comments about D'Addario EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Strings Single-Pack:

These strings are okay as long as you don't over wind them while tuning a new string, since I broke the new high E string by mistake while tuning with the peg winder. Other than that, I do love to play a few fingerpicking songs, so in additon to regular light gauge strings, these extra light gauge strings are the perfect gauge for it.

Great sound for x-light strings because of the light weight they don't hold up really longgood valu with sound...only comparable to Martin strings period! Other guitar makes will have different results. Mine is a low end guitar.

          Not Pleased...AT ALL

Comments about D'Addario EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Strings Single-Pack:

Ok the positves... They stay tuned even in the crazy heat of Iraq. They are super easy to bend, vib, all the tricks of the trade.Ok the NegsThey have no sound quality at all. I had some 3month old Elixers on before the swap and the sound quality went down. Normally I love to hear some new strings ring, but right off the bat they just had nothing. If you get in to a song and strum hard the Low E will slap the neck leaving you with a pretty nasty sound. They are ok if you play really soft. I mean really soft. I have had them on for a week and next chance I get I'm tossing them and putting some Elixers back on.

Comments about D'Addario EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Strings Single-Pack:

Just put these on my acoustic today after playing with Martin strings for about a year. The sound of Martin strings was ok, almost like a "thunk" but I like the EJ15's better. It's more glassy. Made my guitar sound better.Thats just my opinion. They are better for my fingers and sound better than any other strings I've tried

Comments about D'Addario EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Strings Single-Pack:

Great strings. Nice, bright tone with great playability. The extra-light vs. the light gaugue makes a big difference in bends and leads. These strings allow you to play otherwise acoustically difficult parts with ease. Get these strings.
