I've used these strings for years now and loved them. As of late they have been giving me issues though. I even liked them more than some Martin strings I ended up trying out, but I am definitely switching back now. The quality must have depreciated because after a few days on my guitar the strings were kinked and beginning to unravel their windings at each fret, as though the winding wasn't tight enough on the string and the pressure of being fretted caused the winding to come loose and bend to the shape of the fret. My strings looked like one of those heart beat meters upon closer inspection. Also, they used to ring for months when I wasn't switching them as often, now they last maybe a week. Time to get those Martins I guess.
Price also went up recently, if memory serves. Almost twice as much now.

Comments about D'Addario EJ17-10P Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings (10-Pack):

I've used every string on the block, even the most current phenoms out there. But for my lefty Taylor DN4e, the EJ17 is by far the string set that most compliments the bearclaw spruce/ovangal tone woods.

Comments about D'Addario EJ17-10P Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings (10-Pack):

This is a great way to purchase these quality strings. The new packaging (all strings in a set wrapped in a single sealed plastic bag) saves on space in your gig bag or case and is (I suppose) more eco-friendly than the old paper envelopes.

I use these on my 30-year-old Takamine F365 and they produce great tone and last a long time.

I've used these strings for a good 10 years and buy them by the box. They're always consistent in tone and last a long time. I usually change about every 2 weeks, but on my practice guitar, I've often left them on for months and they still sound good.

It's very simple. Accoustic guitars rely on good strings. No matter if your guitar is $100.00 or $5000.00 it comes down to a few bucks for strings.
D'Addario Phosphor Bronze should be those strings. long lasting, dependable, consistand, affordable, bright yet warm. It's very simple!

                    Only acoustic strings I use.

Comments about D'Addario EJ17-10P Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings (10-Pack):

I use these on my Epiphone Masterbilt AJ500M during live performance and recording. They are a nicely balanced string, with a warm sound sitting somewhere between 80/20 and coated. I live on the coast of Oregon and these seem to have a decent life span, even with the salt in the air. I change my strings about once every month or so. Keep in mind that the masterbilt is a solid wood guitar, and it sings regardless of how old the strings are. On a laminate guitar the strings are the majority of the sound... so you would probably need to change them more often.

Comments about D'Addario EJ17-10P Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings (10-Pack):

I have a few different acoustics af varying quality, and have tried a number of brands of strings. These D'Addario EJ17 Bronze Medium Acoustic Strings provide warm, rich tones. No brassy sound, just full bodied. Whether you put them on a cheap or expensive guitar, these strings allow the full sound potential of your guitar's body to shine through! I'd recommend these strings for play at home and performing if you are on a budget! And the ten pack is an even better deal if you're playing your strings regularly!
