Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Have used them for years. I can put them on and perform almost immediately. Hardly any "break-in" time necessary. They let me play lead, including bending technique, but at the same time boost the bass tone of several guitars that need such a boost.

I have an older guitar and these strings have and excellent feel and sound. I was using Martin's but I like the feel of these better.

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These were the first strings I ever bought. They were recommended to me by a picker in NC. I have never liked any others. When I bought my Martin HD-28 I could hardly wait for the original strings to wear so that I could replace them with the EJ-19's. They always sound great. They stay in tune very well. When they go dead, they're dead. I only have six guitars, but they all have these strings on them!

I have used these strings for several years now. I particularly like the tonal quality of these strings. They hold up well and keep their tone for a long time.

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I bought a beautiful Seagull Artist series guitar about a year and a half ago. I've been trying different strings ever since I got it and still haven't found the perfect set. These D'Addario strings are good for standard tuning and they last quite awhile. I use a fair amount of alternate tunings like Drop D and DADGAD. I find that the high E string is really "droney" and annoying when I'm in a lowered tuning both when I'm finger picking and strumming. So, the search continues...Does anyone have a good recommendation? I'm all ears!

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

This is more than just a little more bottom,. I play with the pads of my fingers with a lot of claw thrown in where it suits me. These took me by surprise where new emphasis is appearing and over emphasis too( where I tried harder). Ok, i love all of this brand strings. I've tried GHS, Martin etc and across all three brand of acoustics I own, feel cheated when I have had to substitute. Which is why I buy here and you should too!!

I bought these because a friend of mine who's been playing guitars - all kinds - for 40 years recommended the EJ19 D'Addarios. I'm very happy with them.

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I sorta kinda maybe torture tested these strings. I had an old cheap acoustic I wanted to update, So I got these and thought "I like D'Addario, I guess I'll try these." I put them on and was astounded. These strings are what I've always wanted. I tried about every brand out there and these are better by a long shot. The tone is SO bright.. Harmonics came to life.. More volume. Anyway, to the torture test. I got these on and played a little and realized my guitar was set-up all funky, and not in a good way. I took off the strings, did some mods and put them back on, no breakage.. Not bad. So same ordeal, I tuned up and thought my action was way high. So, I took off the strings, sanded my saddle some, put on the strings, tuned up, still- no breakage. Okay, so, I left my guitar alone for a day, and I pick it up to play it today, the neck had a bad bow... Ugh, here we go again.. I loosened the strings down a lot, adjusted the truss rod and tightened back up- STILL no breakage. If you're worried about breakage... Don't be. I think it's safe to say these are going to last, and also, they're going to have more tone than about any other string out there.
