Since I have smaller hands these strings work very well for me. Not too light, not too heavy. Plus they last a good length of time. I buy the three pack which is really a good buy.

Comments about D'Addario EJ26-3D 3-Pack Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I'm a retired musician with many years of working the road. Ever since I started using these strings I've not used any other string on my flat tops guitars.

I'm a giging and recording singer/songwriter, and I use to use GHS brand strings. A friend of mine recommended D'Addario strings and later I stumbled onto these custom lights. They hold up on fast driving country and are killer for acoustic lead parts. They handle bends very well without breaking, unless you have a snag in your saddle on your guitar which can cut them and cause them to break. The intonation is fantastic when I play them on my Takamine electric acoustic. And when i"m playing through a sound system, they make my Takamine sound like i'm usig medium gage strings. They seem to last a very long time, and will last longer if you wipe the strings with a clean rag after each gig. The only time that I feel that they haven't lasted is when playing in outdoor shows. But any string is going to drawl moisture on outside gigs and probably go dead, unless they are coated with something. And I'm not a big fan of coated strings, because they just don't have that great of a tone. If you get these strings you won't be dissappointed, I just wish they would offer them in the 10 pack.
Comments about D'Addario EJ26-3D 3-Pack Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I use D'Adarrio electric strings with no problem but the acoustic is a different story.
I can't seem to get through a single 3 hour gig without breaking the G string.
More often than not, the D string will break too.
Also, they seem to lose tonality very quickly.
I think guitar strings should last a lot more than one 3 hour gig!!
I'm convinced they *can* make strings more durable, they want us to BUY MORE!
As expensive as they are, breaking strings every gig is inexcusable.
Comments about D'Addario EJ26-3D 3-Pack Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:
There's all kinds of strings for all kinds of guitars and styles. But this set hit the sweet spot for me. I like the step up in guage because it combines depth with comfort. They sound great whether amplified or not and they last. I use them on my two acoustics (Guild D25, Ibanez AEG20. Great price too.

Comments about D'Addario EJ26-3D 3-Pack Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I have a nice Ovation 1778 Elite LX which has very nice action and a nice deep tone. I'm primarily a "lead" guitar player and I like to bend a lot. Why struggle with heavy strings? I'd argue the dynamic range between these gauges and heavier ones are negligible, especially if recording direct or amplifying. These strings are easy to play, sound good and last a fair amount of time. I always recommend this series.
Comments about D'Addario EJ26-3D 3-Pack Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I have always used DAddarios on my accoustics but normally a .12 or .13. I have never had a problem they have always been able to handle anything I could dish out and would last for months. I recently bought .11's and I have broke 4 strings in 2 days doing the smalles 1/4 tone bends. any bend at all and they snap mid string. I really love DAddarios but i now have to switch cause I cant afford this. I was almost wondering if I got a bad batch.
Comments about D'Addario EJ26-3D 3-Pack Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:
In twenty five years of recording, gigging, etc., I've used just about every string you can think of and D'Addario consistently rises above the competition. They LAST, they sound great, they're reasonably priced and STAY IN TUNE. While there are some brands that last longer, you have to pay twice as much. Handmade strings consistently disappoint and weird coatings just ain't cool. My only gripe? NOBODY makes a set (electric OR acoustic) in EXACTLY the gauges I want (10 - 48 electric) but these 11-52 acoustics made me forget about mixing gauge/sets and appreciate the ease of buying only ONE set per guitar. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED... unless you have no ear to begin with.
