Many people would never think of putting a set of 9s on a 12 string, but even on an inexpensive Rogue they really sing. I played the strings that came on the guitar, tried these 9s, tried a set of 12s tuned down, and wound up back with these strings. They are easy to play, even when tuned to concert pitch, and unlike heavy strings leave enough room to be fingerpicked. One word of caution -- D'Addario does not name their strings like others, and their gauges, overall, tend to be a bit lighter. Most extra lights from other manufacturers are heavier (10s).
