Comments about D'Addario EJ45TT ProArte DynaCore Normal Classical Guitar Strings:

I've had these on my early '80's Yamaha G-231ii. since last November (it's now September of the next year) I just ordering a new set because, I've noticed some corrosion and separations in the windings on the headstock. They still sound pretty good, and I use this guitar for teaching 2 or 3 days a week and by my desk every day for writing arrangements and recording student examples.
I haven't tried composites, but I was unhappy with the usual EJ45's. especially the G/3rd string (too many unwanted overtones) on this guitar. These fit the bill and really improve the tone of my Yamaha. Tight pure tone and easy playability.

Comments about D'Addario EJ45TT ProArte DynaCore Normal Classical Guitar Strings:

Typically I use D'Addario EJ-45 because I think they are excellent strings for the money. However, I have a Yamaha GC-7M (1978) and the regular 45's aren't quite enough to get the base notes to ring out as do the trebles. So, I decided I'd try some other strings ... EJ-45TT ... in hopes that I might hear an improvement. And, did I? You betcha I did! Of course these 45TT's sound great in the middle and treble ranges. However, now the 4th, 5th and 6th strings rival the volume and clarity of their unwound companions. I can't tell you how pleased I am. I'll be buying more, that's for sure. (P.S. I know every guitar is different, so your experience might be different. So, experiment. Try different types/brands of strings. You might be pleasantly surprised and find your guitar can actually sound better than you ever thought possible. Best regards.)

Comments about D'Addario EJ45TT ProArte DynaCore Normal Classical Guitar Strings:

After restringing a relatively new Yamaha CG162S with D'Arddio EJ45TT strings, I can't believe the difference! Easier playing, bright clear sound, growly bass notes, and volume/projection that challenges my Alvarez Yairi. It's like playing a new instrument. I had some concern that the trebles might sound metallic due to the titanium name but quite the opposite is true. The overall effect is a lively well balanced sound.

I play Ovation Classicals....have been using EJ45FF for a good while....decided to try TT....tried them on 3 different models....not impressed...very temperature sensitive.....I play a lot of outside gigs.... even the temperature of your fingers will change the tuning....uneven tones across the strings.....may work well for some but not for me....going back to the EJ45FF's

Comments about D'Addario EJ45TT ProArte DynaCore Normal Classical Guitar Strings:

These string have a wonderful tone, but the trebles are extremely sensitive to changes in heat. Just playing them for a few minutes and the trebles go sharp - especially the G string. These are Nylon based and due to it's crystalline structure nylon string tension goes up went it gets warmer. These are way more susceptible than most nylon strings.

The way to work with these is that when you first sit down to play, instead of tuning the treble string with the guitar's tuners, pinch each of the treble strings between your forefinger and thumb. Run your fingers up and down the full length of the string a few times to heat via friction. If you then watch on a tuner, you'll see the string go way sharp, but then it will quickly settle down right to pitch - the tension it was at when you last played. This has worked well for me.
