Comments about D'Addario NYXL0940BT Super Light Balanced Tension Electric Guitar Strings:
You pretty much can't go wrong with these strings. 9s are my favorite light string. 8s sound kind of whimpy and 10s start to feel tight. The balanced tension 9-40 gauge is plenty slinky enough for easy playing and bending. Light tension also gives you a distinct sound as different from jazzier sounding heavy gauges. The newly formulated nyxl nickel wound strings sound a little bit brighter and tone rich than the standard xls. They're also slightly slinkier. While the plain steels sound and feel about the same. If you're looking for a light string these are great.
