Re-engineered to be stronger for enhanced output.

The NYXL Nickel Wound Light Top/Heavy Bottom guitar strings come in gauges 10--52.

D'Addario NYXL guitar strings will bend farther, sing louder, and stay in tune better than other strings. Comments about D'Addario NYXL1052 Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been playing guitar for around 13 years now and when I started I tried lots of different strings from Ernie Ball, GHS, Dean Markley, and DR before I settled on D'Addario. The other brands would either break, not last long or just had a dull tone to them. D'Addario strings are well made, sound great and have a good lifespan. The D'Addario NYXL strings are the top of the line for the company, yeah there more than your average strings but like they say, you get what you pay. The NYXL strings feel great, don't take long to stretch, have a longer life and produce a constant bright tone. The 10-52 gauge feels and sounds amazing and handles lower tunings very well. D'Addario puts a lot of research into there strings and the NYXL is the result of years of experience and research in guitar string making.

Comments about D'Addario NYXL1052 Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used Ernie Ball before and I always found myself wanting more of the tone. I then looked around the store for strings and found D'Addario XL Strings. They are great strings, but the only con I had with them is that they would break still just as easily as Ernie Balls. I then watched a couple of videos online about NYXL Steel Strings and I was in love. I got them on my guitar and stretched them out and started playing; I was immeadiately impressed. They felt soft on my fingers but yet felt strong when I played them. The resonance from these strings are incredible and just felt very powerful as soon as I plugged into my Marshall. They stayed on my guitar for around 5 months before I sadly sold my guitar. Best strings I ever owned!

Comments about D'Addario NYXL1052 Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I Picked these up at Guitar Center to give them a shot and I was rather displeased. They feel no different or sound different than D'Addario EXL140. The only difference was the astronomical price. Will not be using them again.

Comments about D'Addario NYXL1052 Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

I was a bit reluctant to try these strings being the price they are, but after buying a set and using them for a couple of weeks, I can absolutely see why the price is up.

I was introduced to the d'Addario NYXL range through watching a d'Addario vs. Ernie Ball video on YouTube, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The NYXL strings were so much clearer than the Ernie Ball strings, but still sounded crunchy and vicious, and this is exactly what I feel when playing with them. The NYXL strings do have a little more tension on them than standard EXL strings, though, this actually improves my playing because I don't bounce off the strings after picking them. The NYXL strings are a lot louder than standard EXL strings, and they are a little brighter too, but that makes every string sound more lively and as if they have a big attitude no matter what style of music you play. They really are as strong as they are advertised, too! You can feel the strength in the string and they also stay in tune no matter how far you bend them.

I'm currently using them on a PRS SE Series 245 Soapbar and so far, they still sound fantastic 4 weeks later, and they still sing as much as they did when I got them out of the packet.

      Thank you, d'Addario!

Comments about NYXL1052 Light Top/Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings:

They seem to be doing fine.
The tone is maybe a little brighter than the EXL140's I normally use.
The string tension may be smidge higher, too, but I'm not sure why that is.
If I want a bouncier feel I would use these.
