I need a larger pick than I used to, and this one is perfect. I used to use Tortex "Gator Grip" .60 mm Delrin picks, but I developed radial nerve problems, and had a hard time holding on to them. I switched to the big celluloid triangle picks, but they didn't sound right. These picks by D'Andrea are made of the same Delrin material as my old picks, so they produce that crisp sound I like. I do some stretches for the nerve problem, but I plan to keep using these picks.

First off, I like the material is made with. However, these picks do not look as shown on the website. I bought them because I wanted a nice point. They aren't pointy enough. They are more rounded. Some musicians may like that. But I've used Dunlop Ultex 2.0 for a long time. And It looks as though I'll have to stick with Dunlop. I have an old D' Andrea Triangle pick that has a far better point than these do. But it's made of Celluloid. Does not last long.

I was disappointed with them. I'll just give them to other musicians who can use them. They just aren't for me sadly.
That's my take on them.

If you're looking for a Jazz III alternative, it won't be here.

Comments about D'Andrea Shell Celluloid 355 Triangle Picks - One Dozen:

Great quality heavy pick. I like the size, and ease of use. Particularly good on heavier strings like I use. You'll never wear one out, you'll lose them, but never wear them out. The only thing I don't like is that they're pink. Why not black, blue, red, even green, not pink. These ain't no sissy girly picks.

Comments about D'Andrea Shell Celluloid 355 Triangle Picks - One Dozen:

These picks are awesome. I got 1.14's and they have been amazing. They have a nice feel and three picking sides (so its like having three dozen!) None of mine have broken or chipped, and they never dull. P.S.- I play bass.

Amazing picks

Comments about D'Andrea Shell Celluloid 355 Triangle Picks - One Dozen:

I love everyting about these picks. They're great, from when you pick it up to when you put it down. It isn't like ordinary picks, where you have to pick it up and find the correct side to strum. This, you just pick it up and strum away! Perfect size, and they don't wear down. They're fantastic, and are worth your money.
These picks are the best! They're nifty, and it doesn't matter which side you pick it up on, because you can strum with any of the three sides! I got the yellow .73mm, and they're the perfect size for me. I love them.
They came in perfect condition, and the 12 dozen pack is perfect, because I've lost a few, but that doesn't matter because I still have plenty more. They don't wear down either, it's fantastic.
Very much worth your money.

Not exact replacement for Fender 355

Comments about D'Andrea Shell Celluloid 355 Triangle Picks - One Dozen:

I was looking for a replacement for Fender 355 Heavy which don't seem to be available at the moment. These picks a very slightly larger than the Fenders (maybe 1/16th inch on each side?) which is noticeable after using the Fenders for 45 years.

Comments about D'Andrea Shell Celluloid 355 Triangle Picks - One Dozen:

I like the color-coding because I can easily select the right thickness (.60mm for acoustic guitar, .73mm for electric, .88mm for bass). But most are warped enough that I tend to miss the string I'm aiming for. The yellow .73mm ones are the worst afflicted. I selected the flattest and tried to straighten some, but I'm still tossing 3/4's of them.

Comments about D'Andrea Shell Celluloid 355 Triangle Picks - One Dozen:

Good price on a good product, if only they made them in black, brown, yellow, purple, anything but that shade of pink.
Okay, they're guitar picks, there aren't a lot of features to discuss. They're heavyweight, the kind I like and the weight and style recommended by my guitar playing guru.
As good as any, the only thing stopping me from giving them a ten is this weight only comes in pink, not a favorite color on a guitar pick.
a lot of picks for the money, and when you figure every one of them has three points to use, and since they're heavyweight they don't wear out ... it's like buying a whole lot more of them. You'll lose them before you ever wear one out.
