I've been playing guitar for about 12 years, and have always had issues with grip and pick rotation. In terms of grip and control, these are easily the best picks I've ever used. My experience with these picks applies only to acoustic playing, but I have a couple of friends who play electric that also love them. I've seen some folks complaining about the rubber catching on strings. I haven't had this issue, but then again you are only supposed to use the tip of the pick anyways, they may want to work on their strumming/picking. If you are looking to improve grip but are having issues with the rubber on these picks catching on the strings, I'd suggest checking out Coolpicks Cat Tongue picks. I don't like the tone quite as much as the Dava's, but they are still great picks.

I have tried all of the Dava pics and have enjoyed them all for there individual attributes. So I thought I would give this one a try....Bad choice. This pic is terrible. It says that it has rubber on it, but it just feels like soft plastic. It does not have good groves like all the other Dava pics, I felt like I was trying to hold onto this one so it would not fly out of my hands. I would not recommend this pic at all. However, If you already own this pic what I did was I pulled off all the Black "plastic" and just left the coloured hard plastic and it actually works better now. Bottom line, If you want a good pic, go with ANY other Dava pic and you will not be disappointed.

I've already written a review about these Dava grip tips and my opinion hasn't really changed about them. However, I recommend NOT to try and cut back the rubber mold over material because it will ruin the pick and make it feel and sound terrible

I bought these picks just to give them a try & was pleasantly suprised. You really can control the pick much better. The only reason that I gave them 4 stars was 1)You can't use the sides of the pick due to the rubber laping over the sides (I like to use the pick sides,as well as, the tip to change my tone & picking dynamic)& 2)The rubber tends to loose a bit of tackiness with use which reduces, in my opinion, the improved grip factor.(This is a small issue & surely does not take away from the usefulness of this pick's design. I will try wiping the rubber portion down with rubbing alcohol to restore the tackiness.) I especially like using these picks with my mandolin. They make rapid fire notes & string-jumping so much easier. Maybe it's just me, but notes seem to have more clarity with these picks especially with my mandolin. These picks are a bit pricy, but, like me, you may find the cost worth it.

Gonna take a little while to get used to these as they feel different than what I am used to, but so far I like them. Good grip, which helps me as I am a dropper. I would say they are better suited to electric guitar than acoustic, but that's just me. They cost a little more than some others, but probably worth it unless they wear out quickly. Don't know yet about that as I have only used them 2 or 3 times. If you have not had any of these, they probably are worth a try. I'm not disappointed.

This is a great pick. Well made at the perfect price. I use these for Metalcore bass and the pick isn't too thin or thick for the chugging riffs. I would buy more of these if I needed them.

It is non slippery takes to your fingers like a Porsche 911 sticks to the highway. I love the rubber to mute non played strings with and I can get soft tones to the brightest and hardest attack with just a bit of angle adjustment. I can't even look at other picks now....thanks Dave!
