I would have never thought I'd take the time to stop and review a friggen pick, bu I love this pick.
The volume, clarity, and personalized control of this thing makes it the best pick I've ever used. Of course I can't find mine now. Going to order a few this time, and slum it for a few days on the plastic picks while awaiting my replacements.

I probably wouldnt even give this a 2 if it weren't for all the favorable reviews left by mostly Metal players. I play almost entirely acoustic and say this on sale when I was purchasing other pics and thought I'd give it a try. It sounds awful on acoustic, especially if you use and muted and damping techniques. I find that the rubber catches on the string too but not quite as bad as the plastic davas that also recently received and do not care for either for this reason.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:
I am still up in the air on strings and amps and effects etc. This is the only pick that I will use. I have not worn one out yet but you sometimes lose them in the shuffle. I am hooked and have been for a while. It works from light strumming to picking heavy lead notes. You can also easily get that muted tone that Neil Young and a lot of other great guitar players use with ease with this pick. It is my alltime favorite.

I HAVE PURCHASED THOUSANDS OF PICKS BUT I FIND THIS COMPANY ONE OF THE GREATEST MULTI-DESIGNS AND THE SOUND IS UNOBTAINABLE IN OTHER PICKS

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:
This pick is mainly for electric cuz it will ruin the finish on acoustic because of the nickel tip. I love this thing though. I highly recomend it. Get this pick!!!!
The nickel tip is the best feature on this thing. It gives great tone.
Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:
DAVA master control pick. Quite simply the ultimate guitar pick thus far. I know the 'Dava 1303 Rock Delrin Hang Bag' will appeal to a wider range of guitarists, but this Master blows them (and all other picks) away. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and have been obsessed with picks and guitars. I hate shiny, heavy, flimsy, picks, and picks with pretty pictures on them etc. etc. etc. Ok I know some of you may think I need therapy because of this guitar pick thing, but to me a pick can make such a huge difference to you tonal palette, and playing style. This pick is not for whimps who don't want to scratch their 'precious' guitar surface up. I do, I want to dig in hard, scrape the strings with edge of pick, play light as a feather, or whatever else. These picks are ingeniously designed. They are both light and heavy, simultaneousy. Great rubber grip and tip of nickel silver no less, what a design! I have always steared away from metal tipped guitar picks 'cos I was too whimpy with my guitars. Now I want to 'f' the surface up, if that's what it takes to get a certain feel and sound. Play normally and you guitar surface will not suffer. I intend abusing the hell out of guitars for the remainder of my active playing years. If I ever get arthritis in my hands, I will just smash all my guitars up, or get someone else to. Sorry, I digress. buy this pick, you need it. You also need the 'Dava 1303 Rock Delrin Hang Bag' picks which do not have the edge made of metal.
Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:
Ok so i usualy use the Dunlop Ultex pick whichi love and decided to give these a try. First off, they are kinda bulky and not that great if your doing alot of playing that involves skipping strings and they arnt that great for pinch harmonics either. Basically if you like the big picks this is for you, but i dont think i would buy another set.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:
This pick is definitely worth the extra cash. The nickel at the tip makes your tone sound very bright and polished and the grip in the middle really grabs onto your fingers. However, one thing I must say is that this pick is not all that good for playing fast. I play mostly metal (a la Trivium, Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, etc.) and while this pick handles the riffs quite nicely, it can't handle the solos all that well. I'd say this pick is, as the name suggests, more for "mastering" the "control" of the song while you learn it. For example, I use this pick to help me maintain control and accuracy while I'm learning a new song. Once I've mastered it with this pick, I switch over to my favored Dunlop Big Stubby 3.0mm picks and I fly like crazy. So, very good for what it's meant to do, but don't expect to shred like a god with this thing. It's meant to be used more for mastering your technique (like sweep picking. It definitely helped me develop that better) than going wild right from the start.
