Comments about DR Strings Black Beauties Coated Electric Strings Medium-Heavy (10-52):
These strings are good at first but get very very dull very soon. And the black coating wears right off revealing the silver string underneath. Plan to replace these soon, they would only last one show with neat looking strings. For the price there are much better coated strings out there.

First off, the tone of these strings are AWESOME... heres the catch.. these strings from this company is a hit and miss when it comes to durability. Ive noticed right off when these strings are bent during installing they get super weak and are prone to breaking.. more so than what i would call normal.. on the other hand when you do get a good set of strings they feel, and sound oustanding (a warm tone with lots of sustain).. overall though its not worth the money to keep gambling on wheather or not you will get a good set or a bad set... Also the color coating wears off with in 10 mins at all the places you play most with the pick or fingers.. if DR lowered their prices a few dollars, they might be reasonable.. i switched to earnballs 3115' seem to be a lot better quality, but missing DR's sound..
Comments about DR Strings Black Beauties Coated Electric Strings Medium-Heavy (10-52):
if you want good tone with a lot of pepper on your guitar then, this is it. At first glance they look awesome. I didn't even know they were black until I took them out of the package (I had ordered some pure blues, but for some reason they sent me 3 of pure and 3 of these). The only flaw (and it's a major one) is that they chip horrendously. I practice 6-7 hrs a day and they didn't make it past the first day before starting to chip. So, keep that in mind when purchasing.
Comments about DR Strings Black Beauties Coated Electric Strings Medium-Heavy (10-52):
I bought a couple of these at a local music shop to try them out, and I fell in love with them. I've used pretty much every type of string out there over the years, and I have to say, these are my favorite. They have a pretty good lifespan, they stayed fresh for about a month with playing everyday for an average of probably 3-4 hours a day, which is pretty good in my opinion. They look amazing, black strings are always a cool feature. Really my only complaints are that they don't come with a wound 3rd string, which I would prefer to use, and that they're kinda expensive. They lasted about 3-4x longer than Ernie Ball strings that I have been using for the past year or so. I try to change brand/make of strings that I use about once a year, but I think I've finally found the perfect set of strings!
