OVERVIEW

Electric strings for those who want to look and sound electric as well.

Gauges: 9, 11, 16, 24, 32, 42.

DR Strings NEONs are super bright color-coated strings that sound clear, bright and musical. These Multi-Color Lite Electrics are an excellent idea for those learning to play or just wanting to add pizazz to their rig. It's easy for players to fall in love with the bright color that matches their remarkable sound. Super bright in daylight and under stage lighting, DR' Strings NEONs are 100% black light active and glow strongly under UV lighting. These strings will last you as long as a coated string should (three to four times as long as uncoated strings) maintaining a sound that is not only good, but better than top-quality uncoated strings.

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Def NEON Multi-Color Coated Lite Electric Guitar Strings:

I just started playing and have been using Rocksmith 2014 as a guide. The colors are the same as the software so it has taken some of the guess work out of making sure you are on the right string. Within a week the high E string broke (which could have been my bad playing) but the rest have been great.

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Def NEON Multi-Color Coated Lite Electric Guitar Strings:

I learned to play guitar as a teenager, then got distracted by girls. and music that wasnt very guitar heavy. now 15yrs later im playing again and struggling to visually pick out D, G, &B in a hurry. im also playing rocksmith and these strings match the color coding in the game. For these purposes these strings are pretty sweet... however, ive had the strings on for 1 week as i write this, and today i noticed chips and color flaking off. also, the sound is just kinda blah already, i know they havent taken a beating in the week, but they are surely dying anyway. visually the neons are awesome, and if you string up just for a show, then theyll have a nice vibrant sound and look cool too. but dont take them too seriously

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Def NEON Multi-Color Coated Lite Electric Guitar Strings:

so I had these since the beginning of october , the wow factor has been completely eliminated. The BIG concern I have with these is that the low E and A string after a day or two will flap almost like bass stirngs because of this new and improved coating.

When playing chords like an E minor , G and so forth it's got this muddy uneveness to it. It's like the top two strings went totally dead and the other 4 are fine with that brightness. I have no idea why anyone buys coated strings there is nothing wrong with regular DR or anything for that matter. Maybe these can be used for a beginner guitarist or something but seriously besides the looks these are a joke. So if you are the kind of guy who goes constantly between lead playing on the top 3 strings to sweep picking or anything along those lines these are not worth it unless you got the kind of pay to buy a pack every other night. With the money I'd rather some new inlay decals , some custom knurled knobs or tuner buttons... ANYTHING but these.
