Comments about DR Strings Legend Light Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings:

these are by far the best feeling and sounding flat wound string you can buy. the cadalac of flat wounds. I play hard rock and love the sound and feel of flat wounds but I have been going from brand too brand looking for the best. This is it I can not only play an awesome rhythm we these but also because they are light I can kick over and play a mind blowing lead. look no further this is it.

I put these on my semi-hollow. They produce a round, dark jazzy tone and sound good for a couple of months. I'd call them a win.

Comments about DR Strings Legend Light Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings:

I have only played flat-wounds a few times in my life, and when I first put them on my guitar they took some getting used to. I had to lower my action considerably, but once I did that, I got them at that perfect sweet spot where they have their own vibrato/tremolo. After even a few days, I got used to them, and don't think I'd want to go back to regular wound strings. There is little to no "noise" when moving hands up and down the fretboard, and the dark richness of the tone is so wonderful.

Comments about DR Strings Legend Light Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are the best possible choice for Fender & Gibson guitars and required for state of the art work. Thank You to Lawrence and all of those at Muscians' Friend that dilegently work to fill our needs with the best choices available, at prices that enable starving artists to perform like superstars and reap the benefits. I have been retired for over thirteen years and a quick phone call was all it took to update my guitars to state of the art potential. A Dios Compadres....

Comments about DR Strings Legend Light Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings:

will never purchase this product again , I purchased 4 packs of DR Strings,2 flat wound , 2 blues. The company packaged 2 strings per pack , such as # 1 and # 4 in same package,They placed the wrong strings in the wrong packages.I had to take each string out and go by the thickness of each one...EXAMPLE from 1 to 6 by thickness. I had 4 Guitars to do and that turned a fast installation into a time taking MESS.. NEVER AGAIN

Comments about DR Strings Legend Light Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings:

Recently purchased these to put on my Squier Jazzmaster and running through a Fender Pawn Shop amp. They are a bit heavier than I thought and had to make some adjustments to the neck. Once I lowered the action, I hated to put my guitar down. The sound was exactly what I was looking for, warm, rich, yet punchy when needed. They will take a little getting used to but worth the effort. These strings will really make a difference if you want a more jazzy sound with your playing style.

I can't say how long these strings will sound as good as they do now becaue they're still new, but they do sound really good now.
