Pure and even tone from string to string. Edgy. Tight lows and sparkling highs. Bright, clean, clear. But not shrill. Just a bright, clean tone.
Chords ring with authority. Leads drill holes into your brain. String noise is a minimum but yet the string amazingly retains special harmonic quality.
These strings seem to be high quality and well-made. They help me make music.
Would not hesitate to purchase them again.

Playing my Les Paul Junior with the 500T pickups through my Marshall Bluesbreaker, running the Guvnor always had a real compressed, Dark sound. These strings help lighten it up, a definite improvement. Good for Slide guitar too.

I've tried slinkies, blue steel, carvin, dhr, just about everything... And these are the best, bar none. Rock-solid tuning stability, great distorted harmonic overtones, with incredible snap for rhythm work. I had used the coated DR strings for years because they last forever, but these last almost as long, and they sound phenomenal. The only downside is that depending on your set-up, these might be too bright for clean settings, and it will resound any sloppy fretwork without mercy (which only makes you better).

Ok, for real, these are the best sounding strings ever. Period. I play a mix of black/death metal, and these stings have more bite then anything. I used DR Tight Fits for years but ended up with a pack of these once and never looked back. They last long and stay in tune as well.

I was a slinky user for a long time, but got tired of them getting too slinky, too fast. So, I started trying other brands. Came up with DR High Beams. Awesome feel, great sound. Edgy, but not sharp. Has a strangely smooth sound. Awesome for shredding. Actually they feel like slinkies but without the sloppiness.

I have been playing on DR strings for 2 years now. Absolutely the best string for heavy whammy bar use. They keep their tone, endure the punishment and last longer than any other string made. With the nickanme "stringbreaker," I can assure you that DR strings are the strongest and best available.
