These are great strings for a fretted bass. Only flatwound strings should be used on a fretless bass ,as regular wound strings will ruin a fretless neck!!!!

Good strings!

Comments about DR Strings Phosphor Bronze Acoustic 5-String Bass Strings:

After some research, I decided to purchase these strings for my acoustic electric bass. I removed a new set of D'adarrio and replaced them with the new set of DR's. Big difference in the tone! The DR's have a fatter sound and the sustain is much better. I made a good choice. The only drawback is that the strings are a little coarse for my beautiful Michael Kelly 5-string "fretless" acoustic bass.
