OVERVIEW

Add brightness to your tone with Sunbeams.

Gauges 13-17-26-34-45-56.

Sunbeam Phosphor Bronze Strings feature round core construction for remarkable sustain. The tone does not decay as it does with other phosphor bronze strings that seem to sustain in a straight line until the sound falls off. Sunbeam acoustics are musically bright, rich sounding, and very flexible.

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeam Phosphor Bronze Medium Heavy Acoustic Guitar Strings:

In 37 years playing, these are the best acoustic strings I have ever used. The tone is clear, bright, and precise. The lower tension makes a set of 13s barre and bend like 12s. The sustain is incredible.

Once, a day after I had put a new set of Sunbeams on my Taylor 710, I happened to be in a quiet room with the guitar on a stand. I sneezed, and I heard the strings resonating for 30 seconds just from the sound of a sneeze from 10 feet away. I know that sounds made-up, but it is not. They are really that sensitive and sustain-y.

Every player I have ever recommended these strings to has wound up using them regularly. I cannot compliment DR Sunbeams highly enough.

The perfect string for my favorite guitar

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeam Phosphor Bronze Medium Heavy Acoustic Guitar Strings:

It took me a while to find the right string for my 24" scale Larrivee Parlor. Larrivee recommends Mediums, but all the Mediums I tried felt too stiff. Sunbeams are slightly lower tension than other strings of the same gauge - so, I decided to try a set of these and they're absolutely a perfect match to my Parlor. They feel perfect, sound amazing, and last forever. They don't really die - they just sound a little darker, and maybe even a little better, as they age. I'll never put any other string on this guitar.

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeam Phosphor Bronze Medium Heavy Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have used many types of strings and these are my go-to strings above all the rest. I had to buy some Martins in a bind a few weeks ago, and they simply aren't the same. The Sunbeams last forever and sound great - what else do you really need to hear?!

Probably a fluke, but I won't use these again.

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeam Phosphor Bronze Medium Heavy Acoustic Guitar Strings:

First time I have tried the "Sunbeam" also the first dead string in 20 plus years using DRs The 6th, low E string was defective, winding loose, resulting in absolutely dead tone. First ever defect, but also first time trying Sunbeams. Guess I'll go back to Rare
