I play these strings on a solid mahogany tele body bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood board with a single dimarzio dp253 on a brass tele humbucker bridge wired straight to the output jack.
Let me start by saying that I tune to E flat standard and previously used dr's ddt 12-54 set. I much prefer the tite fit's round cores and I needed a just slightly larger set of strings (plus I was hoping for a wound third string, which the tite fits have).
These strings are sonically beefy but very clear and they put some bark in your guitar. The wound third just sounds right and evens out chord work very nicely to my ears.
I greatly recommend these if you want to beef up a slightly thin sounding guitar and don't mind a little string tension.

I bought these from my local guitar shop and I hadn't hurd of DR. I went home and put them on my epiphone les paul custom and they fit perfectly!I tuned them to C standard and they felt amazing!These are great strings and you can really beat the crap out of them!
