The Dunlop Straplok System is designed with the artist in mind. 360° groove-and-ball design allows the unit to rotate without catching. The strap retainers are easy to install and operate. The case-hardened steel skin guarantees long life. The same strap can be used with several guitars as the strap button is interchangeable. Release-tested up to 800 lbs. of pull; it won't come loose. Complete set (2 units for instrument and strap) adapts to instrument by replacing existing strap pins and screws with special Straplok System brand buttons and screws. 2 strap attachments are included.

Pretty good system: Guitar saver, Some commentary

I have an endpin jack (ie plug in for undersaddle system) and the strap had been slipping off for a year or so.

I installed this and have had no strap loss since.

Drawback #1: It is not compatible with the end jack and I had to install it in a separate location in front of the original. I thus have two end attachments. A little annoying not to have it compatible, but it works out ok.

Minor Drawback #2: The attachment for the system sticks out slightly more than I would like (and esthetic judgement)

It does what it says and my guitar is now safer than it was.

Easy to install. A snap to use.

Quality:

Built like a battleship. Never had one to fail. A tiny drop of oil occasionally keeps them working very smoothly.

Value:

Something has value if it last's and remains in it's original condition. These straploks fit the bill perfectly.

Overall:

I've been using straploks for many, many years and I wouldn't think of using anything else. I've tried other's that tried to copy them because they were cheaper. It was a mistake because you just can't better the best. I highly recommend straploks. They are the best.

Good Product

The screws were too small to fit the tailpiece button of my 12-string Gibson SG, and too big to fit the button on the neck. I simply used a rototool to grind down the original screws, and the whole assembly fit great. Then I found that the locks stood out so far from the guitar, that my Gibson hard-shell case wouldn't close.

Ultimately, I just used the Duncan buttons, which are huge and study compaired with the nubby aluminum Gibson stock buttons, and stowed the locking mechanisms in my closet. The strap doesn't lock, but I think the straps grab onto those giant Duncan buttons so securely that I don't expect any trouble.

Overall, a bit pricey for two big steel guitar strap buttons, but they're good buttons and I am happy with the solution.
