Does the Job

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

The really nice thing about this is you get a pick holder and a slide holder together. The only other thing that I have found that works better is actually a cable holder that Shure has that mounts on the mic stand, the slide will go on this perfectly but, it is about 5 times the price of this item and, you don't get a pick holder. The only thing I have noticed about this item is that in transport you should remove the slide holder because it can be dislodged and lost in loading or unloading and, no more slide holder.

Must Have for Gigging Musician

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

This is an awesome accessory to have! It does exactly what it is meant to!Hold Picks! I do admit that small picks are a bit hard to get to stay, but I use thick Dunlops, but with a little work small picks hold. The slide holder works great it is easy to slip it on and off your finger if you have maybe just a small part where you need it, overall this accessory in perfect.

Good idea, but a few flaws

By Adessmith

from Undisclosed

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

Overall this seems to be a nice little accessory, but I have one additional flaw I can't believe no one else has noticed. The picture seems to be a little deceiving. The area where the slide holder slips into the pick holder blocks picks from being securely inserted into the holder. The top two picks pictured will not fit as deeply as the other picks and tend to fall out. Not a big deal, but worth noting.

sensitive to width of tubine you clamp to

By velodoug

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

I do like this product a lot, but I wish Dunlop would tweak the design a little. I clamp it to my Hercules guitar stand which has wider tubing than a mic stand. This makes it difficult to attach to the guitar stand. Further, when it is attached, it squeezes the pick holder flanges so tight it is hard to attach my picks. If they incorporated Wedgie design, the width of the tubing would not change how tightly the picks are grabbed by the holder. Wedgie doesn't seem to have a mic stand pick holder that will also hold a slide, though. All things considered, I would still buy this product again. For the money, it is a great accessory.

Good for the money

By fantumphool

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

This product is pretty inexpensive, and it does the jobs that it needs to. I actually have not had the problem with the different size picks - it seems to work alright on mine. The slide holder is made of plastic, and may break at some point in a show, but overal, it does exactly what I want it to.

Not the best...

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

I bought this thing because it's cheap and I always lose my picks. It's OK, but there are some design flaws.1) If you use several different thicknesses of picks (i.e. Thin, Medium, Heavy)or different shaped picks (i.e. "fender" or "bass" or triangular sorts of picks) Then this guy won't work well. It will only hold one certain type of pick at a time; usually it can manage holding some mediums and heavys at the same time but not always.2)The pick holder has a very simple design, and, depending on what you clamp it onto, it might not hold things well. The holder won't hold your picks at all unless its clamped onto something. The thicker the thing you clamp it to (like a thick mic stand) the better it will hold your picks. I thought I could clamp it onto my folding music stand, but the picks fall right out.3) The slide holder should work for standard sleeve-style slides, but I really don't know. I have a Dunlop slide (can't remember what it's called) that is cut so you can flip it around and fret with your slide finger, and this holder doesn't hold my slide well at all. If you just want some place to put your picks so you don't lose them, and they are all "fender" tear-drop shaped, I would reccomend the Dunlop Ergo holder because it sticks onto just about anything and it holds picks with different thicknessess. It's also very portable, unlike this holder.

Good grip, no slip

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

I actually use one of these to hold my setlist to the microphone instead of picks. Works great for either purpose.

Excellent idea

Comments about Dunlop Microphone Stand Pick and Slide Holder:

Great idea for a guitarist who has trouble holding on to a pick or finding his capo. I love it.
