I started trying out & using nylon picks w/ grippers around 1989 - I was helping out another guitar player / friend & his band, & he used Dunlop 1.0 mm nylon picks (which I would "lift", then take home to try out on acoustics, as well as electrics). I liked them right away, except that the 1.0 mm was a little too thick. I remembered an interview that featured Jimmy Page saying he had used .88 mm Herco picks. That's how my long standing affair w/ Dunlop .88 mm nylons began.
Later on in the 90's, I discovered Le Pik's arsenal of nylons - the design is offset, but there in lies what made them different, as well as ergonomical (I think that was their intent). I used those for 10 years or so, & then I had to make another switch when I found out Le Pik was going under. Around then was when I found Snarling Dog's Brain Picks - a dozen picks comes in a tin "stash box", one of which I keep on me at all times. They're alright nylon picks, but they wear & eventually, wear out.
Today, I'm back using Dunlop .88 mm picks, only now I'm strumming away using their MAX Grip picks, which are the bomb. They hardly wear, the nylon feels a little denser & the grip area is innovative in the world of nylon guitar picks. The search is over...until (!)

If you're thinking about it, just try them out! What have you to lose? They're only a few dollars. Worst case, you don't like them and they sit in your case until you run out of your fav picks.
I love these because if I do drop them, I know it's my own fault and not because of a sweaty pick. I don't drop tune or play anything really heavy, but I find them to be a great all-purpose pick.
They're guitar picks...with grippy texture. Not rocket science. They don't seem to wear down any faster or slower than other picks I've used.

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Guitar Picks - 12-Pack:
Best picks for bass hands down. Not covered in that grit stuff that only becomes slippery over time. If your pick starts to slide, just wipe your hand off and keep playing. You will never have to change picks. The end.

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Guitar Picks - 12-Pack:
I just got a pack of .88 and 1.0 picks. I use the 1.0 for bass and the .88 for guitar. They really are very hard to drop while playing. They stay seated, and don't turn they are well worth the price. I suggest giving them a try.

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Guitar Picks - 12-Pack:
Good product but quite a bit stiffer than the regular Dunlop nylon picks. If thats what you are used too (like me) - you may want one level thinner than you're used too.

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Guitar Picks - 12-Pack:
As my playing has progressed, I have moved to a thicker pick. I discovered these Dunlop Max grips a few years back and it has become my exclusive pick. I had issues with dropping smooth picks from time to time. These Dunlops never slip on me and have a nice feel. The 1mm width has provided a little nicer sound to my playing vs. the more flexy picks, which tend to make more of their own noise.

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Guitar Picks - 12-Pack:
Does everything its supposed to without breaking and without slipping out of your grip. Excellent!
A brighter color would be good, the grey blends perfectly with the carpet under my desk and so most of them go up in the vacuum.
