Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
Overall, good product. Cheap too. I bought this yesterday and used it today. Everything works like it says it does, except I haven't used the string cleaner yet. The cleaner and polish leaves small swirls, but those are quickly erased with a dry cloth and some elbow grease. My dad bought this axe (Fender acoustic) about 11 years ago. Three of those years it was sitting on its stand in extreme weather, no temperature or humidity control, while we were out of the country. I was surprised to see it was still a functional guitar at all when I got back. The polish cloths and 8000 grit sand paper are nice additions. It took away 11 years of grime and this was the axe's first clean. Looks great. The fretboard especially needed it. The kit also looks like it will last a long, long time.

Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
A good care kit is great for your instrument. Keeping it clean and conditioned will bring out the best tones your woods have to offer. When a guitar is covered in sweat and dirt it tends to muffle the qualities of the sound ... thereby ruing your tone. Like anything else ... if you take care of it ... it will take care of you!
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
good stuff. very pleased with the results. sorry, poor lighting in the pic but the bass really cleaned up very nice. put on new strings and wow!
could have given you more 8000 grit cloth for fret conditioning. enoough to last as long as the rest of the product it came with. there are enough chemicals to clean and treat several times and only enough 8000 grit cloth for one cleaning. product does work well though.
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
Do not buy this if you,-Have a maple fretboard-Do not like setting up instruments-Cannot read directions-Cannot follow directions-Do not mind putting in some elbow grease Bottom line, it's a must have kit. Do not put the string cleaner on if you have brand new/Elixer strings. Other than that I cannot put into words the difference you will see, hear and possibly smell.
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
I feel sheepish writing this after all these high ranking reviews, but I didn't have such a great experience with this kit. The Polish, wax, cloths, and sander were up to the Dunlop standards I've long been used to, but none of the cleaning or conditioning products worked when applied as directed. The so-called anti-squeak string conditioner left the new strings of my acoustic screaching as much as before, if not worse. The fretboard cleaner and conditioner didn't lift one iota of dirt or oxidation off my vintage archtop. Bummer.Oh well, the polish and waxers work well enough to be worth the price, so I don't feel TOO bad about it. I'll just have to live with squeaky new strings and green frets on my vintage axe, Dunlop or NO Dunlop. I am a bit disappointed, though.
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
I should have read " Dan the guitar man "'s review first. I love the kit, but he is right about the string cleaner/conditioner. I could tell an immediate difference in the strings when I put the cleaner on. The sound just went away instantly. Don't use it. Everything else was great and I would buy this package again.
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
I recently bought a bunch of new guitars, and due to that fact I was looking for ways to keep them looking their best. Long story short, I tried out a bunch of products. This one is the best. I probably use the Polish/Cleaner the most. The only downside is the cotton pollishing cloths don't do that good of a job. I'd suggest getting the Dunlop polish cloth that runs around $10's I bought a couple of those and have also been happy with that purchase as well.
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
Everything works like one would expect from polish and such. I love the fretboard products and string cleaner. They made my fretboard feel brand new, so instead of feeling like the guitar had a grip on me I felt like I was in control. Everything feels a lot smoother now for sure. I'd buy it again.
Comments about Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit:
The kit works very good as far as the other four products go. They do exactly what it says they do, however unless you want to suck the life right out of your strings, I would not recommend the string cleaner that it comes with. I put a brand new set of strings on my guitar which sounded really good, then I followed the directions that the string cleaner gives on those new strings and wahlah, my strings just made a thump like strings do when they go dead. Other than that, it was a good kit

I love to polish up my Les Paul Custom with this stuff. It makes it look brand new. And helps protect it from scratching and getting dust.
