I prefer this case to the Gibson one that came with my LP Studio. The coating is nice and supple, though that also means that it's quite easy to scuff up. Fortunately, it also has little metal feet on three sides, so it won't rock around and will protect the covering. Inside, the thick plush holds your guitar snug, and the door over the compartment is sturdy and doesn't flop around. On the exterior, again, the handle is big and solid, but just soft enough to be comfortable.
This is an incredibly nice case, and MF has them for a great price right now. You won't find a real case this cheap new anywhere else, and if it saying Epiphone really bothers you, you can easily clear that off with some paint thinner.

I read all the reviews here. It seemed like most of the bad ones were several years old so I assumed there was a period of poor quality control.
If you are looking in this price range, look at the Gator here at MF. It isn't a flight case, but you will get a lot more for your money.
This case came with my Epi Les Paul or I would send it back for a refund and buy something (anything) else.
It looks nice, but the construction is terrible.
Outside - the fau leather tears and gouges really easy. There is trim that goes around the half that the guitar lays in - this was put on really crooked and it is loose in some areas.
The fur inside is glued to the padding - and the padding is loose in several places around the inside of the case. There were dried chunks of glue inside.
A lot of older reviews complained about horrible odor. Mine as no offensive odor.
Epiphone is making a mistake by including this case with their Tribute Series. It makes them look bad and it is an insult to the guitar.
I rate the quality about like the really thin cardboard cases that you see with really cheap guitar kigs.
With some attention to quality control and a more durable covering, the case wouldn't be bad, but you get sooooo much more with the Gator abs plastic.

Even though I own some Gibson Les Paul Models, I do like many of the Epiphone versions. This is the best case for the money for an Epiphone LP. The Gibson models fit into this case, very well. Most of the time, Gibson LP's come with a case. Some of the less expensive Gibson models do not have a case, and, may have a gig bag. In any event, for the price of a Gibson case, two of these cases can be purchased, with money left toward purchasing a third. From personal experience, the best way to silence a "guitar snob" is to put a high priced Les Paul in an Epiphone case, listen to the snicker when they see the case, and blow them away when you open the case. Gibson bought Epiphone in 1958, so they are closely related, with Epiphone becoming the foreign builder, much like Fender with all of its subsidiary brands. The question is whether a Gibson logo is worth the extra money. This case is very well built. Several of mine were made by TKL in Canada. This latest one is not marked as such, but the quality has not changed.

I bought this case for my Epi Les Paul and it fits like a glove. It is a thick sturdy case that will offer maximum protection. The soft lining of the case and perfect fit makes me feel safe traveling and lugging my guitar around. I know it is safe and snug inside. I looked at a lot of cases. I had a cheap gig bag and knew I needed to upgrade because I would always worry about taking my LP anywhere. I do a lot of live performing and I am not always the one to move around my gear. I needed a case that would ensure that my guitar was safe and sound no matter who was transporting it. This guitar case has exceeded my expectations ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE PRICE!
