These strings are great. My old Ernie Ball Rock & Blues strings were getting kinda worn (and dirty) so I needed some new strings. A friend of mine got me these as an early Christmas present, and I put them on the next day. Usually it takes a while for me to break in new strings, and they tend to get out of tune easily for the first hour or so of playing, but these were perfect. After putting these on, I couldn't put my guitar down. They're crisp, loud, and not too hard to bend. My old Rock & Blues strings were a little easier to bend, but the clarity and crispness (is that even a word?) of them couldn't match these. These make my cheap Rogue guitar sound like the rich voices of a six angels that can stay in tune (that's exactly what a good guitar sounds like). These are the only strings I'm putting on my acoustic from now on.

I bought these to replace some Elixr Polyweb's on my acoustic. I read the reviews and thought i should give them a try. long story short I am switching back to Elixr's.These strings sound way to bright with no depth. and forget smooth sliding or bending with these. VERY scratchy when you bend. I am a huge fan of the Elixr Polyweb's and will be returning to them. I would only use these strings if I was in a pinch and didn't have the extra $6 for Elixrs.

I bought these strings a couple of weeks ago, and I just put them on yesterday. I usually use D'addario's, but I decided to give these a try. Today, I decided to shave my saddle a little, because of the string height, and all of a sudden, the G string breaks on me. ONLY AFTER ONE DAY! I will be switching back to D'addarios.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2004 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

While normally I have never had many problems with Ernie Ball Strings, I had a very big disappointment when trying these for the first time.
As I know one does get what they pay for, It was VERY apparent when purchasing these for the first time. I should have known better but.. ehhh...
The Low E-string went dead on me within just a few hours of playing, and produced a buzzing from the wind not being as tight as it should.

The Guitar I set them on is a Orange Flame Ovation 1778T Elite T Series Acoustic-Electric.

Will Be staying away from these strings in the future.

I like the sound and the feel. I play about one hour a day and after two weeks the G string is no longer functional because the frets destroy the coil. I am disappointed after the six pack is gone I'm shopping around again.

Bright in the beginning, loses tone after about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. But for 5 a pack they're worth it.

Nice sounding strings, but within a few weeks the wound G string began coming apart. I've had other strings burr up like this too, just not this quickly.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2004 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I needed a lighter weight string for bending notes while playing Blues in standard E tuning and these fit the bill perfectly. Yes, there is a slight loss of volume and tone, but amp tweaks can compensate. Highly recommended.
