Comments about Ernie Ball 2047 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel Extra Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:
Good sound and great feel. They are much easier on your fingers. For the some one just starting to
play or someone older with arthriis like me, these strings are much easier to push down without sacrificing sound quality. I bought 3 sets
1 for me, 1 for my 9yr old grandaughter, and 1 spare. We are both very happy with them. Having a recording studio there sound did not disapoint me either.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2047 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel Extra Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:
2047 Earthwood Silk & Steel strings are excellent strings for beginners, or anyone struggling with the tension of regular steel stings - even 10's. Also good for guitars that are bowing in too far (high action) - and aren't adjusting properly with the truss rod etc.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2047 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel Extra Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:
After having the same set of elixirs on my 000 for a couple years (they always sounded great, but they were beginning to look old) I thought I'd try something else and bought two sets of these silk and steels. I've heard people say nice things about them but to me they sound tinny and small. They have a nice bright sound to them but now my all solid wood guitar sounds like a laminate. These strings don't seem to bring out the quality of my guitar. What a waste of money, now I'm ordering some elixirs.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2047 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel Extra Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I have a 12 fret to the body and she is a bit hard on the hands, so I wanted to try diff. strings to see if I could get her to behave her self a little better. I must say the Ernie Ball silk & Steel strings did the trick. This is the best strig I have ever used on this very expensive guitar. I have been playing as a Pro for 30 years and I use a lot of guitars but for the little 12 fret this is the string for me.Good guitar playing comes slow, but God is patient.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2047 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel Extra Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:
They play very nicely, and no real volume loss. The tension on the neck is alot less. My necks are adjusted properly, though very low action... so these strings made the neck basically dead flat from a proper forward bow tension... since I really don't get buzz from them, I left it as is; and even lower action.A down side "might" be that if you like to Bend your strings... you won't be able to do better than a 1/2 step... unless you really want to try an go for it. This is especially the case from the G string on up due to the gut/nylon core.I highly recommend them, especially for folks who may get tender finger tips from playing many hours in a row like I do. And I do like the low end frequency these string emphasize.
