Comments about Ernie Ball 2051 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel 12-String Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I'm a huge Ernie Ball fan. Always buy there strings for my electric guitars. So I thought maybe it was time to use EB's on my 12 string Takamine. Put them all on and as soon as I started to tighten them they started snapping. Three of my strings snapped before I even attempted to tune the thing. Looks like I'm going back to using Martin strings.

I have an old Takamine 12 string that has some neck issues and can't use steel strings anymore. These are much lighter and allow me to back off on the truss rod...I like how they sound although there's not much strength in the bass end...still I'm happy with them.

            Great Strings for my 12

            By GytrPlyr

Comments about Ernie Ball 2051 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel 12-String Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've had a Martin D12X1 for about a year. I love the guitar but needed a string change from the factory originals. I took a chance on these in an attempt to mellow the sound and "soften" the action. Mission accomplished. The sound is great and these strings improved the playability considerably. Very, very satisfied. These are the only strings my Martin will ever know.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2051 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Silk and Steel 12-String Soft Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've found Ernie Ball Earthwood Silk and Steel strings to be the best strings I've used on my Washburn 12 string. They are light, but durable and give a "honeyed" tone to the music.
