Stronger so they last longer.

Gauges 9-11-16-24-32-42.

RPS stands for Reinforced Plain Strings and these 2239 Super Slinky electric guitar strings are a reinforced version of the standard Ernie Ball strings.

A patented winding of bronze wire is tightly wrapped around the lock twist of the ball end. String slippage and breakage are minimized at the ball end where these most often occur. RPS strings last longer and stay in tune better than conventional plain strings. Used on electric and acoustic guitars but not classical guitars.
All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance, and long life.

Ernie Ball is the pioneer of rock and roll guitar strings. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, and Slash are among the long list of Slinky players.

If you want a string that's a little stronger and lasts a little longer, these are the ones to get. Order today.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2239 Super Slinky RPS 9 Electric Guitar Strings:

I was a regular Dean Markley Electric user for years.
When a local store was out of stock, I took RPS Nickel Slinky's in my usual 9-42 gauge to try on my Strat.
Tone was everything you should expect from a 9 gauge in a Strat.
Focused, a tad less brittle than others, warm, dynamic and responsive.
After a few days from the initial use, they settled in and were a great fit for my maple neck USA Strat. Felt really good under my fingers, and responded well and articulate to my playing dynamics.
Last but not least, they last quite long also, longer that the Electrics, but not as long as DR's for instance, which are all more expensive than these.
This is my 6th set, and so far they are consistent as they get.
I decided to switch from Dean Markley to these, at least for now.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2239 Super Slinky RPS 9 Electric Guitar Strings:

Ernie Ball's RPS strings have a long lasting life and always sound as good as new. I've been playing guitar for about four years now and I've never used anything other than Ernie Ball strings. In my opinion, they are the absolute best.
