Comments about Ernie Ball 2250 Classic Pure Nickel Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
Overall Ernie Ball NEVER CEASES to please my fingers! When they're made in U.S.A. you cant go wrong!
I bought a pair today in the local shop simply because they were out of the Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys i purchase, i was given a discount cause the guy said "i know you usually purchase the regular slinkies so ill knock a few off the price". TOok 'em home slapped em on my strat, plugged into my trusty Blues Junior and wailed away, i LOVED THEM! these are officially my new favorite strings!
good feel, quality woundinh
Now a bad price at my shop they are a few cents over Ernie Ball Regular Slinks
Comments about Ernie Ball 2250 Classic Pure Nickel Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
These pure nickel strings are called "Rock and Roll Slinkys" but they would work just fine in any type of music. Big fat tone for jazz, lovely sustain for rock. I forgot to mention how pure and defined each note sounds when playing arpeggios and scales.
Nice fat, peachy tone. The two things I love most is that it stays in tune better than any other strings and they last really long for pure nickels. This is on top of the fact that you can acheive "Santana" like sustain whenever you want. There's also the purest overtones that ring out in any register of the instrument. Can't say enough about them.
I'm rating it a 9 because I suppose there could be something better even though I doubt it.
"Musicians Friend" match the lowest price I could find however, I do buy in bulk. They keep their word.

I purchased a set of these for my Dean Palomino 3 P-90 Hollowbody Archtop. Super Warm tone. These are great strings for Blues,Jazz & Rockabilly or R&R. I play Blues and they sound great. No issues to complain about.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2250 Classic Pure Nickel Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
Awesome strings. I am still on an endless search for a guitar string that grants lasting life and the right tone. These strings sound amazing but after two weeks they looked horrible. I only noticed a slight drop in tone but they still played great. The dirty feeling made it harder to slide though. If you are doing recordings then these have the sound you need but if you are just a beginning or hobby player you need something that lasts longer unless you have the cash to replace these twice a month.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2250 Classic Pure Nickel Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
I'm a longtime D'Addario user, but wanted a set to throw on one of my Telecasters that was a bit more vintagey, so I picked up a couple of sets of these. I really really like them on my Thinline Tele...they still twang very nicely but have a warmer, less metallic presence that my normal D'Addarios have. They're a bit rounder and punchier, with more fundamental and fewer overtones...not as glassy and modern as nickel-plated. They really bring out the inherent qualities of my Tele in slightly dirty tones. My only slight beef is that they feel like they get dirtier faster. The tone isn't effected, but after two weeks or so of regular playing they feel sticky...like they've been on the guitar for ages. I don't know if this is something common with pure nickel (nickel-plated D'Addarios don't behave this way..at least not the way I play them), but it's weird....and I'm religious about wiping down strings and keeping my hands clean when I play and junk like that. Still, I dig them and will continue to buy them for that Telecaster (the rest of my guitars will keep getting D'Addarios).
Comments about Ernie Ball 2250 Classic Pure Nickel Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
These strings are sweeter and warmer then the other "pure nickel" brands. In fact they even sound a little better than the regular Slinky strings. Perfect for recording because you can put on a brand new set and they don't have to be played in to sound good. Where the action is in the bass strings which pure nickel wrap. That is what makes these better then most other brands for the same price. Most other electric nickel strings are just nickel coating over a steel core that is then wound around the hex center. So I buy these whenever I get a chance and always for studio sessions.
