I do a lot of home recording and when I compared the recordings of my old strings and the cobalts the new set sounded so much clearer when I used the same settings and presets. I play a Schecter C-1 and they make for a really good marriage of tone and sustain.
I had to go to Guitar Center the other day because all the other stores were closed on Memorial day and I needed strings because I broke one. I thought I would try something different because I might as well make the drive worth it. I have been playing Ernie Ball Power slinky for a long time. 11 gauge. And I usually play in standard or Eb tuning with occasional forays into drop c and others. They are brighter, but in a really good way. They may be a little more expensive but I love them. They are higher output even on the less coated treble strings. I've always thought that EB is a good company because they make quality products and don't overadvertise, so I thought I may as well try these new strings since they are really pushing them. These strings also improve my sustain by a fair amount.
They have stayed in tune unbelievably well. Usually I have to tune several times a day, because I usally play for 2+ hours a day. But with these I have rarely needed to tune at all, meaning around once a day. I can't promise they will stay like this longer into their life or have the same for you. They seem like they will last a while longer than my old power slinky strings.
They are a little more expensive so I don't know if they're gonna be worth it to everyone. But if they actually end up lasting a little longer, I will definately buy them again.

I bought these for my Ibanez that I play a lot of metal on and I put them on the guitar and they sounded good but I do a lot of drop D, B, and A tuning and while I was tuning the LOW E STRING back up to E it wasnt even halfway there when the string broke!! I never even heard of the low E breaking when tuning. I was highly disapointed in these strings and went to a different brand and

I was using DR's coated strings first on a ESP M-401, needless to say they sound great when they dont break on you..(especially the G string) I quickly switched over to these looking to keep the coated feel. I would say they seem to be a lot stronger than the DR's i was using. although they dont sound nearly as warm. Also seem to be holding up after a month and are still sounding like i just put them on. overall, i like DR's coated strings better for their tone, but if they cant hold up whats the point..

These have great sound and seem to last a lot longer than nickel plates but the wrapped strings seem to be a little sticky on the fingers so you hear a little more finger movement then normal. Overall they are a good buy if you can get past the enamel coating being a little sticky.

Bought these awesome cheese cutters for my ESP Eclipse and have never been more shocked in the difference between regular slinkys. Sharp cutting tone, tough as nails when it comes to bending, keeps string dulling at bay for what seems 3 times longer, BUT still gives you that rumble a guy needs for heavy rocking. I'd recommend these to anyone looking for great quality/priced strings.
Comments about Ernie Ball 3120 Coated Titanium Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
These strings are bad**s, one day I decided to try these strings out because I had heard that they last way longer than the regular power slinky. There twice as expensive but they are well worth the money. I have had these strings for four months and I play everyday for at lesast two hours. They also have the perfect guage for drop d and there not so bad for drop c either. If you play in those tunings or just standard tuning these are the strings for you!

I find these strings just as advertised. My main guitar is a Fender American Special Strat. My experience has been the strings feel good, sound great and last a long time. I really like these strings.
Comments about Ernie Ball 3120 Coated Titanium Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:
Fantastic strings, a little warmer than uncoated slinkys, but still have great snap and bite to them. Tuning stability is great on these, and plan on putting these on all my guitars.
