Comments about Fender 3150R Original Bullets Pure Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - Regular:

These strings are not a bright as the Steel Bullets and mellow out the highs on a Tele. Pure Nickels give a more vintage sound closer to an early Tele. I used these on my Esquire. Same high guality and durability as the steel counterparts. Highly recommended!

Comments about Fender 3150R Original Bullets Pure Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - Regular:

I never tried "pure nickel strings" before. Put these on a Fender Strat.
Have another Fender Strat with Ernie Ball "nickel wound" strings. Both guitars
have same "vintage noiseless" pickups and tone woods and necks.
Tested guitars on same amp clean sound.
"Pure nickels" have less output and a very nice warm sound.
"Nickel wounds" have more output and a very nice brighter sound.
Now I have two nice but different sounding Strat guitars.
Is one better than the other? IMO No. Just different. If you have not tried
Fender "pure nickels" give them a try. You might find a tone that you never
        heard before!

Comments about Fender 3150R Original Bullets Pure Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - Regular:

Is this particular gage of strings 10 to 46 bendable for lead? Because the 9 thru 42 are to thin for my carpal tunnel. Can't feel them very well.

I like these strings on my strat because they seem to bring out the characteristics of the guitar that I like. Crisp Highs, bright full mids and good low tones. I've tried others, but for the money these really perform to my ears.

Comments about Fender 3150R Original Bullets Pure Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - Regular:

I'm a lowly bass player so go easy. While I own more basses than I deserve, I like playing guitar especially into a looper with a drum machine (Korg Pandora) to help with writing bass lines or just having fun. I have 3 guitars. 2 have fixed bridges with a Les Paul scale length. For those, I bounce between Fender 150s & 250s, DR Blues and Ernie Balls. For my Fender Stratocaster (50's FSR Classic Player), I prefer these. While some may claim limited sonic benefit from bullets over balls, I've definitely had balls get stuck in my tremolo block (behave!). These work better for me. I have yet to break one of these though I don't do super-heavy dive-bombs. They sound nice and seem to hold their sound for a long time. I switch between these and the 3250s when I want a little more bite. I have noticed a difference between the current strings from Fender, which are now made by D'Addario, and the original ones that Fender made themselves in Mexico. Different but still a great string for the money...
