        I got this pickguard for my dad. He had the regular white guard on his sunburst strat. Makes the guitar stand out a lot more. Although he doesn't gig anymore he likes to collect guitars and this just adds that little extra flair.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        Comments about Fender American Standard Strat 11 Hole Pickguard:

        Bought this beauty to spice up an oldish strat I bought from my church. My strat is vintage white/cream colored so the shell color is a nice off-set to it. The shell is definitely more brown than it looks in the picture (which I thought looked sort of red), which I think is a good thing. It also has much more foil shielding on the back than the original factory pickguard, which is a nice plus. Easy to install, took less than a half hour...I spent more time putting new strings back on and intonating it. I highly recommend this item.
