Comments about Fender American Standard Strat Pickguard 11 Hole:
I bought this pickguard for my 2009 standard Strat in 3 tone sunburst, and it fit perfectly. The pearloid white is completely gorgeous. You don't really realize how much the pickguard affects the overall aesthetic of the instrument in a plain color, and this pearl pickguard takes an already pleasant view and takes it up a notch. It really makes it look like a much higher end instrument.
The pickguard itself feels very sturdy. It's a 4 ply technically, W/B/W/pearl, though the pearl ply is very thin and probably only for cosmetic purposes. That said, the pickguard does seem that it would hold up well against warping. The back of it is shielded to protect against noise, and it seems to do as well as the stock guard did.
My only gripe with it is that it is pretty expensive. Especially when compared to the standard 3 ply guards that are half the price, you're basically shelling out double the money for one extra ply, and a rather thin one at that. I got mine on sale cheap, but at its full price I doubt I would've taken the plunge.
