Features:

Excellent acoustic guitar sound reproduction. Balanced, easily placed, easy to use, nice tone variation.  Perfect combo.

Quality:

Have only used it live a few times, but has a quality feel and looks.

Value:
Overall:

Nice packaging, low profile device, easily installed, blends well within the sound hole, excellent acoustic tone range. Make an acoustic guitar that amplified, sound like an acoustic not an ES - 335.

Fishman Rare Earth Pro-Rep 102 is rugged, easy to install, sounds bad

The Fishman Rare Earth Pro-Rep 102 pickup has held up well for me on the road, and it was a piece of cake to install, but it makes my acoustic sound like a semi-hollow body electric. If I wanted that sound, I'd be playing an ES335. I'm a solo act, so it's important that my old '78 Ovation Balladeer sound like an acoustic, and this pickup just doesn't deliver that. Perhaps in a band setting it would be acceptable.

Works for me

Installed it in 3 minutes and played out with it a half hour later.     Sounded great, well balanced for both finger and flat picking.     I installed it in my custom made Myrtlewood Jumbo.     I doubt if I'll make it permanent and install the jack in the end pin.     I often play out un-amped, and don't want to alter the guitar.

There's not a lot of features, active sound hole pickup with a volume control, but it works for me.

No problems, it took me 3 minutes to install, solid construction.

A little spendy, but worth the extra cost.

I bought this pick up in January for my Seagull acoustic and it is seriously FANTASTIC! I've done some recording with it as well as played live shows. It sounds great as the only pickup, but my recommendation is that you put it into the soundhole of an already acoustic electric guitar and use BOTH of the outputs. It makes my Takamine sound SO much better. I only give it a 4.5 on features cuz the volume control seems to be pretty much, ON or OFF.
