I have used the Kyser quick-change capo for the past three years, but I lost it while on vacation. Went to Guitar Center to pick up a new one and the salesman recommended this G7th capo to me instead, as it comes with a lifetime warranty and he said the spring is more durable. Tried it out, and I loved it! Seems to me that this capo provides just the right amount of tension, so it doesn't change the tuning of my guitar as much as the Kyser capo used to. It is very easy to put in place, and I haven't experienced any buzzing with it or any other problems.

I've owned several capo's. I LOVE my G7 capo, and wanted a backup just in the off chance I needed to switch guitars in different tunings one after the other, or if I forgot my main capo. This capo worked well for a few months however it has lost it's strength to the point of very notable buzzing on my electric, not even my acoustic. I would only really utilize this capo in an absolute emergency, if my main one broke.Essentially great design, simple and appealing... with a really weak spring. Heed the comments of others echoing this sentiment-they're accurate

Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

Mint. No issues. No string buzz, nice and snug on the strings and gentle on my acoustic guitar's neck. Fascinating looking as well. Plus, it comes with a lifetime warranty. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

      Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

I just bought the capo for my sister-in-law as a Christmas present because I like it so much. Others have said that it doesn't change the tuning so much and I've found that to be true. I've had no problems with the spring and I've had it for about a year and a half.

        Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

Been using Kysers for 20+ years till a guitar student gave this G7 to me. Now this is my main capo. It's extremely low profile is easy on my hand and it hold as tight or tighter than the Kyser on both my guitars -- one strung with 12's, the other with 11's. Don't know about 13s (i.e., medium gauge) because I haven't used them in years. This G7 is quick and easy and a pleasure to use. I now have two, and the Kysers are set aside for spares or giveaways. I probably play more with a capo on than off, so this is a big deal to me.

        Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

I purchased this. It has a great look and feel but I had the same issues as some others did. Pressure is too light for acoustic guitars. I tried it on several of mine with sames issue. Strings buzz. It barely works on my tele with light strings but even it buzzed until you get it adjuted just right

        Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

I've owned this capo for over a year and it still works as well as it did when it was new. The spring is strong and I have no buzzing. I use this capo daily. I really like how easy it is to put on and remove. I clip it to the headstock when I'm not using it and it has not left a mark. Overall a very good product.

        My Favorite Capo (so far)

        By Ryry214-svCTt

        from Houston, TX

        Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

I gave up on Kyser a long time because every one of their capos did horrible things to my tuning. I play a 700 series Taylor acoustic, which has received the OK from a great luthier, and I know it's the capo, not the guitar. I've tried Dunlop, and they're ok capos. After using the G7th Nashville capo for a few months now, it has become my favorite capo I've ever used. The tension is light enough to keep the strings in tune, heavy enough to stop buzz, and easy to move around (easier than the regular G7th capo...tried that, too).My only issue with this capo is it has a little trouble staying clamped on to the guitar head. You can pretty much forget about clamping it to the mic stand, too.I'd love to see a 'cut' version of this, too.I recommend it if staying in tune while playing live is really important to you.

        Great Product

        See all my reviews

        Comments about G7th Nashville Capo:

This is a great capo and very well made. It is light weight and applies just the right amount of pressure to the strings to avoid buzz and keep the strings closer to "in tune" when capo'ed. I use it on my Greg Bennett acoustic and my Fender Strat and it works fine. The pressure applies by this capo doesn't seem as strong as a Kyser capo I used to have. I suspect that guitars with higher action or thin necks might buzz, but I don't know that for sure. I do know it works well for me and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
