My guitar player used this on a gig and because he has a Fender Hot Rod Deville the back support fell right in where the back of the amp is open. It held the amp but not the way you want and because of this the center of gravity was off, we needed to lean it against the wall for more stability. If the back support was the size of the front support there would be no problem! Why they made the back support smaller than the front is beyond me. Just a few more inches on the back support and there isn't an amp that it can't hold. This stand will support a 100 lbs. amp with ease it's very well made.

For some open back combos whose opening is almost the full height of the amp (See Fender Mustang III V.2 and IV V.2 amps, for example), the top bar is too low to engage the top of the amp, and not wide enough so that it slips inside the speaker space, making it useless for those amps. Measure your amp carefully before buying.

On the good side, this works well for my Fender Supersonic 60 combo and Marshall JVM410C combos.

Gator should make a top tube "extension" option.

Comments about Gator Combo Amp Stand:

Bought to use with Vox ac15, but the back of the stand blocks access to power cord and foot switch plugs and limits positions the amp can be set with the stand.

Comments about Gator Combo Amp Stand:

Not all stands and amps are a match. If you have the new BOSS Katana KTN-50 amp, you should be as pleased with this as I am. Removing the little "booster foot" that's under the amp will help make this the perfect fit.

The unit works well in the space designated, not bulky and is a stable unit.

          Service and delivery comments:

The customer service rep was very helpful getting me the overall dimensions of the unit so that I could see if I bought one for each of my amps they would sit side by side in the space I had available,

Comments about Gator Combo Amp Stand:

I use this amp stand for my ACME Lo-B1 and MarkBass Tube 800 at church. I turn the speaker side port towards the floor and sit the amp on top. The stand doesn't block the port. I can have it facing or behind me. The stand is very sturdy and stable; and puts the speaker at the right height and angle.

Comments about Gator Combo Amp Stand:

I like everything about this stand with one exception. The stand is very limited in the angle and height it can be set at. Setting it to give your amp a more forward-facing angle or higher position results in greater instability (i.e., there's less of a "shelf" on which the bottom of your amp can sit on, plus the stand wants to tip/fall forward).

right now it's brand new, but over time I'll see how consistent it is and if it will stand up overtime...but for now it seems like it will do the job well and seems to be the right stand for my 65 lb twin tube Amp....Thanks Guys, Great Job!!
