Sweet bag... If I had to complain about anything, I would say that I thought there'd be more room in the main compartment for me to stick some mic booms in there (I might have to get another bag (less heavy-duty) for the mic booms). I can't complain too much though, because it did end up holding all the hardware for my main kit, which included:
2 double-tom stands (1 big, 1 medium)
1 hi hat stand
4 cymbal stands
1 bass pedal
6 floor tom legs
a few accessory stands (think splash cymbals)

After I got the long, heavy pieces secured, I zipped up the bag. Then, I started shoving/stacking the lighter stuff inside and on top of the other hardware wherever I could find a spot. It works out pretty well for what I need.

I can't vouch for how well it works on the road. I do travel a lot though, and can say that, just by the quality of the bag, it would hold up pretty well. There's not any padding in it, so if you throw stuff around a lot, maybe this isn't for you. However, if you loaded this thing down, I doubt there'd be much "throwing around" to it.
The dolly feature is what made this bag for me. I have a lot of hardware for my main kit, and it makes a hardware bag so heavy that it's borderline dangerous. Before, I was using a not-as-heavy-duty bag by Road Runner, which is a great bag, but it couldn't fit everything and had straps that I questioned whether or not they could stand the weight all the time. By comparison, this bag holds a lot more and has some extra pockets that are certainly useful. The dolly is well-made and does the job. There are 2 decent-sized pockets on the port and starboard sides of the bag. I use these for the floor tom legs, the hi hat stand innards, and small accessory stands. There's a smaller compartment on the head of the unit which I use for small items (drum keys, beaters, etc.). The whole bag splits open like banana and makes it easy to move hardware in and out. Like most hardware bags, there are some straps on the inside to keep one or two of the long/heavy pieces extra-secure.
There was one review on here that said (something similar to) "there are sooo many pockets on this thing!!! wow!!!" Well, I wouldn't say there's that many, but the ones that are there do the job just fine. I wouldn't want too many smaller accessory pockets anyway, because I don't think there are that many small, often-loose items on a drum kit.
There are some good straps/handles on this thing, located all around the thing so you have a few options for handling it, which helps if you're trying to manhandle it into storage or in and out of a car.
The fabric is bullet-proof. So are the zippers. I can see, as long as one doesn't do anything stupid, this hardware bag lasting a lifetime.
The straps and handles are secured/stitched very well:
I recently stored this bag in my friend's basement to clear up some space. The area I was storing it was a split-level deal. Hard to explain, but basically I had to lift this bag (with the billion pounds of hardware) up about 4.5 feet to get it on this level. While the lifting sucked, the straps and handles didn't have me worried at all.
All I can say is that you get what you pay for. This one was a little pricier than the one I originally bought (which I now use for my jazz kit's hardware), but I also got a lot more. I think that, overall, it's a good investment to save your back and keep your hardware in good condition.

Substandard Stiching

One of the bottom handles ripped right through one of the side pockets rendering it useless after four months. MF has only a 45 day return policy, so I'm stuck with it. Beware.

Not Just for Hardware Anymore!

Comments about Gator Drumcart Hardware Bag:

Got two of these babys, one for hardware and the other I put my floor tom, 2 rack toms and snare with foam between them all and room for more! The other one is full of stealth rack and accessories. Useful pockets and the wheels are holding up to the occaisional curb drop. All I need now is a kick drum bag with backpack straps and I'm a one trip making happy mofo!

Save your back

By Mark Smith

Comments about Gator Drumcart Hardware Bag:

A great idea. Saves wear and tear on your back picking up a stand bag filled with heavy hardware.
Has many storage compartments that are good-sized. Wheels, of course, and handles; it will stand up by itself, too, for easy loading

Comments about Gator Drumcart Hardware Bag:

This bag is a bit pricey but if you're working or constantly moving gear every week its a great items. Currently use a 4 to 7 piece kit with 6 cymbals. All hardware stands fit in bag. Throne and HH stand not included in bag. Rolls very smooth. Pockets and handles are well place when having to lift the bag as well. I've had it about 6 weeks and so far I love it.

Incredible design. Holds all your stands without having to take them completely down. Numerous perfect sized side, front, & top pockets. Almost like a golf bag but for hardware.

I've bought a lot of cases over the last 40+ years. BEST one ever.

Comments about Gator Drumcart Hardware Bag:

Well made and well designed. Holds a DW double tom stand with cymbal stand extensions, 1 heavy cymbal stand, hi-hat, snare and mic stand. Perfect size for me. Much better than the tall box on wheels I had before.

      Awesome for a touring musician

      By Chris Slater

      from New Jersey

Comments about Gator Drumcart Hardware Bag:

If you are touring or even just tired of lugging your hardware around, this is definitely the answer.
The rack and wheels are extremely sturdy. Also, there are a ridiculous amount of pockets on it!
The material is heavy duty, and the zippers can take a beating.
It'll last you forever and protect all your gear in the process.

After 6 Months I Am Still Very Happy

      By NicoPercussion

      from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Gator Drumcart Hardware Bag:

I am a working percussionist who bought a Gator Drum Hardware Bag over 6 months ago.I was extremely happy with my Gator Conga bags for years so I spent a few extra dollars to buy another Gator bag to help me with my hardware and I made a good decision. I usually carry 1 hi hat stand, 2 cymbal stands, 1 double braced stand (strong enough to hold some heavy mounted percussion), my chimes and 3 LP matador conga stands (heavy) all at one time in the bag. On occasion I have even fit (just barely) a couple mic stands as well. I would also add that the conga stands take up much more room than most stands. The extra side, front and top pockets are great for throwing in mics, cables, sticks, drum keys, wrenches, etc, etc. The bag has held up well when I pack it to full capacity, and I have constantly taken it up and down flights of stairs at gigs and unfortunately even dropped it once from the back of my SUV and both the bag and hardware inside were all fine. This bag has been worth the money and has saved me a lot of hassle.

My package arrived 2 days before Christmas, but the wheels had been bent during the UPS experience.. The customer sevice agent Aaron, overnighted me a new one and asked me to ship back the defective one. I explained the difficulty in shipping from my area (BFE) , no problem says Aaron, Ill give you a return label to print... WOW it was that easy!! I cannot express my grattitude to musician's friend for the speedy and hassle free way they do business.. They trusted me to ship thier item back, gave me a new item, and paid for the shipping!
