Gator's molded hardshell bass case is made of the finest ABS plastic with ultrastrong extruded aluminum valance. The interior is designed to keep your instrument safe with EPS foam creating support for the neck and a thick plush interior that delicately protects the electric bass. The Deluxe Bass Guitar Case also has an interior pocket for accessories and triple plated chrome locking latches. Unique to Gator is a through-bolted system that attaches the exterior plastic to the interior foam, making this case much more rugged than other plastic cases. Additionally, the open cavity design fits right- and left-handed bass guitars.

Just picked one up for $ 35 used for my Fender Jazz Bass. Fits the neck like a glove. Not much movement overall, which is good. Area under the body is bit firm. Rest of bottom and top is cushy plush.2 compartments either side of neck support are good for cables, battery etc. There is no lid for these, the case lid has 2 plush cushions which acts a lid when closed The 4 Latches are adequately made. Because mine was used, the exterior ABS was warped in one spot has no affect on the inside though.To the reviewer who said " a Jazz Bass will not fit". Really don't know what he is talking about It fits great. AND if you have 24 fret neck there is an xtra inch + ,So those basses will fit this case as well.A good buy.

The case is well built but it doesn't fit snug around my Fender Jazz or Jaguar bass. The guitar can move around inside the case although it has protective padding. If you have a Fender Jazz, Precision, or Jaguar bass, I suggest you spend a little more a get the Fender SKB molded J/P case or the SKB-FB4 case.

This is a very nice case. If you play warwick bass, the corvette fits very good, but the fortress does not fit in the body area of the case. I would definitely recommend it as far as quality.

I bought this case to house my Sterling Ray 34 bass, and it does just that. The bass fits quite well in it, apart from the extra couple of inches up by the headstock area, but that isn't a big deal. Great buy!

The case is well built but it doesn't fit snug around my Fender Jazz or Jaguar bass. The guitar can move around inside the case although it has protective padding. Several years ago a well known music store was going out of business. I picked up an Ibanez SR 905,(which I love), and the Gator GC-Bass Deluxe Bass Guitar Case. This case has always been excellent. One time the foam did come undone, but I slapped the lid shut, and it never happened again. I take it to my church gig,(everyone is sober), every week, no problems. If I have a future problem with the interior, I will just go to my local home improvement store and purchase some spray adhesive.

I expressed that I was pretty close to destroying the current case that I tour with to a family member and said that I was looking for a case to take on an upcoming flight to Europe. Apparently they saw this as a hint, so under the Christmas tree I found a Gator GC-Bass Deluxe Bass Guitar Case. I figured I wouldn't take it on a plane, but maybe it would last me a year of touring and then I could replace it under warranty like an SKB. Well, first- the warranty only covers manufacturing defects, not abuse. No bueno. It seemed close enough to the budget case I had before, and since I didn't pay for it, I was going to let that slide. So I put it off to the side, and opened the rest of my gifts, which I proceeded to pile up on top of the case. A few shirts and a cookbook go on top, and I hear a little *crack*. Weird. I open it up, everything looks fine. I close it up, push lightly on the top again, and hear another series of *cracks*. I open it up again and look inside to see that the entire top foam section had disconnected from the plastic shell."I think you better return this."I won't be purchasing another.

I don't know about any of you other 4-string Fender Jazz 24 (J24) players, but it is hard to find a case to fit this bass. The Fender J24 doesn't fit in most cases made for Fender Jazz basses because the J24 is a little bit longer. This case actually fits the J24 (without the G string tuning peg hitting up against the top of the case--a common problem with most other cases I've tried), stores the bass securely, and is very sturdy. I would definitely recommend it to any J24 owner.Note that this case WILL NOT fit a standard Jazz bass, because the standard Jazz bass body is a bit too fat. The J24 body is a little skinnier than a standard Jazz bass, and fits well within this case.

I bought the Gator Bass Case to hold my Schecter Stilletto and for the first 2 months it did a solid job. Soon after that random parts of the thinnest foam completely broke so the only part of the case still functioning was the part that holds the neck. Not cool.
